Stayed here numerous times. Lovely pub, very friendly staff. Rooms are lovely. Food great. What more could you want.

We stayed on a Friday night and the pub side was busy with locals, always a good sign! Clean friendly pub with great rooms and a wonderful restaurant but also in the village there are plenty of other food options and typical village shops and pharmacy. Great place to stay or live 👍

A lovely overnight stay
Posted 8 Oct 2024 on HotelsGreat village inn. Very friendly staff and locals. We had a beautiful, well decorated, large twin room with a view of the village. The ensuite shower room was spacious and warm. Spotless bedding and towels. Usual tea/ coffee etc. The Woodborough has a large car park with several electric car charging spaces. There is a quirky 9 pin bowling alley, a nice dining area and comfortable bar/ lounge. The dining area and bar lounge all have disabled access, but the bedrooms are accessed via a flight of quite wide stairs.Dogs are welcome down stairs. There is also some outdoor seating.
Both lunch and evening meals are available, I advise pre booking as it is a busy pub attracting visitors and locals . The bar is well stocked and generally there are 3 trad ales on offer along with ciders, soft and hard liquors. It would make a great base for touring the local area. We intend to return in the near future.
