"excellent cottage with wonderful idyllic feel. you can see cows nearby. But it is difficult to find with no reception. you have to contact the staff and arrange before you arrive. They will send you message also. View of your cottage is excellent. you are right at the valley and surrounded by mountains. Room is spacious and can accommodate more than 6 people and very suitable for family. "

"Nice place to stay in Kazbegi, the property was sufficient in most ways. Close to the main road which has restaurants and taxis available. Beds were good. Room was clean Points to improve would be - hot water. Hot water was available but mostly it was warm to regular only. Microwave if available will be very helpful as heating/ reaheating of food was only possible with the stove. Major missing point was a storage cupboard. No place to hang your clothes or store them. "A very cozy place to stay especially if you’re interested in skiing because the hotel is very close to ski area. The only thing we didn’t like was room temperature. It was quite cold. Otherwise the hotel and staff were very nice. Food was delicious. "

"The room had a very pungent odor and we had request to change it. But the staff was very reluctant to do so. Overall it was probably the worst hotel I stayed in years. Everything is either broken or dysfunctional and when you ask for replacement the staff attitude is very aggressive. "

"Our family of five (two adults and three kids) stayed at Hotel Geography for a week over Christmas for skiing. The hotel is pretty basic but rooms were clean, modern and handily had two bathrooms. The hotel is not ski-in / ski-out but offers a free shuttle to Marco Polo hotel in the mornings. Breakfast was basic and could have been improved (ran out of milk one day, bread a bit stale, limited choice on everything) but definitely enough options to fill up on for a day of skiing. We spent more time at Marco Polo (apres ski, dinner, relaxing etc.) because our friends were staying there, which meant we didn’t spend much a huge amount of time at Geography other than for sleeping and breakfast. That said, Geography was incredibly well-priced and hence the value for money is impossible to beat if you want a cheap, no-frills hotel and plan to eat out in other places. Stray dogs were noisy at night (an issue in many of the hotels in Gudauri!) so take earplugs if you are a light sleeper."
