Very comfortable bed, pillows and nice bed linen. Room was small but very clean. Nice breakfast. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the girl I dealt with when I arrived, but she was lovely and so friendly. I would recommend Morgans and I would stay again

POOR PARKING FACILITIES
Posted 27 Oct 2018 on HotelsWhen we arrived we had to park in a public car park with a cost of £2 per hour with a 2 hour maximum stay with no return for 2 hours. I walked up to the hotel where I was told that there was another car park further down the street but she thought that may have the same restrictions. She went on to say there was yet another car park further down the road but wasn't sure of the restrictions there. My wife and I are in our 70s and as we didn't relish the thought of carrying our bags all that way uphill. As no alternative was available I asked for the reservation to be cancelled. SO, WE DIDN'T STAY SO I CANNOT COMMENT ON THE HOTEL ITSELF. ONLY THE ACCESS AND THE INFORMATION WE RECEIVED WHICH WASN'T VERY HELPFUL. I TRUST WE WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR THIS.

I have replied directly to you.
As in most medieval towns, car parking is harder, but there are lots of options in Shrewsbury, if guests wish to have assistance or are unsure where to park. We do not have or promise a car park, so your review is unfair and misleading.
It would appear you parked in a private short stay, as the council ones by us are free after 6pm and cost £1.60 for an hour. There are good long stays all within the town centre too.
it is regrettable you chose not to stay or to accept my staffs assistance.

Excellent location and good space
Posted 22 Aug 2018We stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. We stayed in room 4 with a double bed and lots of space for two people. The bathroom was big and with a really good shower. The room was clean and spacious. Staff at the pub downstairs were brilliant and very lovely both with check in/out and also in the evening for serving drinks. Will absolutely recommend and hope to stay again on our next visit!

No parking at the hotel and no overnight parking in the vicinity of the hotel. Had to walk approx 1 mile after parking the car. No reception facility. Had to wait untill one of the 2 busy bar staff to become available. There was no lift and 2 long flights of stairs to reach our very small cramped supposedly double bedroom. We were charged £150 for 1 night and NO breakfast included. Will not be returning.

I do not really follow or understand this, i do not think it is fair.
You stayed on a Saturday night of the flower show, prices are higher and ours are the lowest in the town center for this date.
You are complaining about issues known beforehand. We do not have parking or a lift, we do not include breakfast. Obviously parking is available much closer, I am unsure where you parked, but am sorry that we did not assist you properly to find this.
I disagree that room 4 is cramped, I hope you enjoyed the complimentary wine, crisps, nuts, biscuits and welcome tray provided, along with the new beds and decor.

The hotel has an excellent location very central. Room very nice and quiet. (Room 5). Parking could be and issue for some as the long stay car park is about 10 mins walk. Staff very helpful.

This Hotel is in a great position to explore Shrewsbury and a stones throw from the train station..It is clean and comfortable and breakfast was good.. The staff were friendly and helpful..Would definitely stay here again.
