"The ocean view from our room is great as it is next to the beach. The hotel has a simple onsen with a great day view. However, the hotel is far from any restaurants and a car is a necessity. "

"Our stay at Beachside Inn Shirahama was wonderful. It is such a friendly yet laid-back place with clean airy rooms and only a two-minute walk to the beach. The breakfast is tasty and the private hot baths are a fabulous bonus. Highly recommend!"

"The staff is very accomodating. We arrived early around 2pm, and the owner let us checked in around that time. It was supposed to be 3pm. The bedroom is also much bigger in person and its also clean! Will probably go back again next year! Thank you"

"The hotel was a lovely place to stay for our short trip to the Izu Penninsula, it was a good base for us to explore the area although there are very limited restaurants or places of interest in the immediate vicinity apart from the beach. The service was excellent in the hotel, especially the check in and the rooms were clean and well maintained. We didn’t use the private baths but they looked great. "Meget autentisk - japansk. Særdeles venligt og imødekommende personale. Stedet er placeret oppe på en bjergskrænt - der er ca 20 min til fods til stranden. Retur tager det lidt længere, da det går stejlt opad. Byen (Shimoda) kan man komme til med bus"
