The entire staff at The Kimpton is amazing, genuinely friendly and courteous and waiting to address your needs. Arriving by taxi, a young lady greeted us warmly and helped with our luggage. We were then shown to the front where the team there were ready with smiles and all the information we needed to navigate the hotel. We never had to fend for ourselves, we were led to the elevator, to the taxi stand, to the smoking room. The hotel featured a social hour on the 16the floor every afternoon from 5 - 6 PM with canapes, wines and sakes, all at no expense, to encourage mingling. The views from that high floor of the setting sun over Tokyo will stay on my mind for a long time but the wonderful service we received here will pull me back the next time I'm in Japan.

A wonderful hotel on the quite side of Shinjuku. The Staff is very attentative and professional. The room was a good size for Tokyo. We tried the restaurants and bar - all very nice.

A very clean and modern hotel with a pleasant staff. Had a nice social hour every evening, and was close to everywhere we needed to go. Will definitely miss this hotel!

I was traveling with friends so contacted the hotel and asked for adjoining rooms. Kimpton said they would try to accommodate the request however, when I checked in, they said they couldn’t give us adjoining rooms because we booked the rooms on different floors- they could have told me that when I made the request instead of misleading me. During checked in, the front desk tried to upsell a substantially more expensive room and was very persistent when I declined numerous times.
Sheets had stains and the housekeeping was substandard. They wouldn’t remove trash from the room.
During breakfast (which was included with the room), I had to ask for water and chopsticks several times. The waitress was rude and kept saying “they’re coming” but I never received them.
