Guesthouse IKETA
4/5 Good
"Simple living arrangement during Niijima visit. The guesthouse is centrally located, close to bike rental shops cafes, supermarkets and bars / restaurants. The host is very kind and helpful when our ferry out was cancelled due to strong winds. We extended our stay by one night.
The guesthouse itself is very basic - small bedroom with thin futon beds and shared kitchen, washroom and shower. I couldn't get hot water but we mainly used the public Onsen anyway. The laundry facilities came in handy as we packed super light. Bring your own plush towels if you're like me...
Perhaps because it's on an island, the guesthouse was the most expensive (£63) among budget options we stayed in around Izu (£25 per pax in Ito and £50 per pax in Shimoda). "
