Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Excellent value and great facilities. Enjoyed swimming and sauna and steam facilities. Good breakfast and lovely grounds to walk around if you want to.

The hotel has very beautiful setting with lovely gardens and countryside views. It is dated and tired looking. My room had the sun all day and was so hot during the time I stayed, there were no fans in the room. The beds are comfortable and the staff are really nice and friendly. It was delightful to be able to sit outside in the evening with a drink. The restaurant is OK. The breakfast is nice but the evening menu and food is very average.

The staff are so friendly and nothing is a trouble which was great. The leisure facilities are very handy and the quality of the food was really good. I definitely plan to stay here again. A lovely experience.

The bedrooms were very clean, food very good, but the service in the bar area was very hit and miss, having to find anyone to serve.

Staff friendly and happy to help, however... my bin wasn't emptied and towels were not changed, despite being left on the floor as instructed. Breakfast portions child sized to say the least. 1 of everything in a full english isn’t acceptable, especially at £13.50.

Absolutely wonderful looking place so much history the grounds were absolutely stunning, just felt they failed on the simple things like turning the lights off in Upper hallways so early could not see a thing could not even see my door number had to go down stairs and ask them to switch the lights on no apology a member of staff later told me they're trying to save money while that is crazy it's a health and safety thing I really could not see nothing in front of me I did suggest to go LED it's cheap

Looks good but isn't
Booked for a girls spa weekend. After booking the hotel we found out everything was booked up, in fact the spa was fully booked till October. We booked a garden room for one of our friends as she had just had knee surgery only to find it was on first floor! Receptionist said it was a view not ground floor which it doesn’t say on website. Also, she didn’t have a view of the garden it was of car park. Myslef and other friend were not in the main building we were in a annex which had seen better days. Everything needing sprucing up, it was all a bit depressing. Early on the Saturday a large group of very rowdy lads turned up shouting and being boisterous in very expensive cars. People all over the hitel were disturbed by their antics but the staff said it was the owners son so nit much could be done. Wiuld recommend going somewhere that cares about customers abd employees enough staff oh and doesn’t let there children use it as a meet up for their mates. Would never go again, staff lovely, shame its being run into the ground.

Hotel was in a good location for what we needed. The hotel is quite tired looking but our room was clean. The wedding music was very loud until 11pm. The breakfast was nice but limited. We preferred Saturday morning as it was cooked to order rather than the Sunday morning buffet. We didn’t use the pool or gym so I can’t review. The staff were lovely and helpful.
