Enjoyed my stay. Nice staff, lovely area. Good breakfast. Only drawbacks were my room’s only opening window was too high up to open so room was hot. Coffee grounds floating on my coffee, not good. Would stay again, but in a different room.

Property was nice staff good however noisy, can easily hear loudly water running and loo cisterns filling in nearby rooms, much noise from stairwell and not helped by piss arsed girls in nearby room drunk at 11pm with no thought of others.

The lodge is in a nice location, we had a riverside view, it was very peaceful. It does need some. updating. We ate in the restaurant once, the food was very nice but there was limited options on the menu, due to the Hotel had a shortage of food that week.

We only used the property to sleep in and shower in the morning. Didn't use any facilities. River very close so nice view out of window. Room needs updating. Carpets were stained, windows old and the blind was just about hanging on the window. Bathroom was clean and shower was fine.

So great views if your up high and the bar area is nice. My room 78 was very dirty, it was a family room and there was a lid to a dairy Lee dunkers pot that had been left from previous occupants the skirt and boards had stains and coffee splashes on them I actually wiped the door handle inside and out because I couldn't bear to go in and touch it. I'm not an overtly clean version but it was grimy. The bathroom was clean and tidy and basic well stocked with shampoos, body washes and nice clean towels. Bits and bobs of mould on the ceiling and part of the side of the bath had been affected by damp and was flaking off. The carpets were stained in the bedroom but also at the top of the three flights of stairs to get there there was an enormous stain on the first landing which just led to the feeling of ick. This obviously once was a lovely hotel but the general area feels run down as this to ordered up pubs next door and it just generally looks like it needs some TLC.
As a positive the breakfast was really nice and the dining room to have the breakfast in was really atmospheric and beautiful. The staff at all points and time were really helpful and attentive.

Thank you for your review and general feedback. I will be liaising with the housekeeping regarding your room. We are in the processing of refurbishing all the bedrooms in the hotel including replacing carpets. 8 rooms have been completed and will back into service this week. The lounge furniture has also been replaced in this first phase. We have lots of other exciting plans for later in the year. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back again soon.
