I arrived in the evening, so it was a long drive through a lot of unlit country roads. I didn’t realize how beautiful the area was until I woke up the next morning and could see it in the daylight. Definitely a beautiful setting that must become very busy with families and other vacationers in the summer months. The hotel was very quiet, almost to the point that I thought I was the only person there, kind of like The Shining. But the room was definitely very clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. I didn’t get a chance to try out the restaurant or room service.
On the downside, the water supply hasn’t been softened, so it must be from a well, or the lake. It was very difficult getting soap off your hands and body. Also, there wasn’t a handheld shower option, and only the one coming out of the wall above eye level.

The toilet seat was well-worn and unsightly. The mini-fridge wasn't built-in; obviously bought as an afterthought and stuck on top of a small utility table. Other than that, the room/stay was average for the price tag.
