Our room was quite expensive regarding the small size of the room and bathroom. The decor was rough with areas requiring repainting and the bathroom tap was in a poor state. Also there was a publc hair on the toilet seat, very undesirable to say the least!!!

I’m sorry to hear that your recent stay did not meet your expectations.I would like to clarify that the room you stayed in is marketed as a small double, which is reflected in its size. Regarding the rate of 115, Unfortunately the last weekend of the summer holidays alongside a local music concert makes rates increase with demand and having looked at next weekends rates I feel is competitive alongside other local hotels. However, I am concerned about the issues you mentioned regarding the decor and cleanliness. This is not the standard we strive to maintain. I will ensure that our housekeeping and maintenance teams address these concerns immediately.Your comfort and satisfaction are very important to us, and I apologise for any inconvenience you experienced.

Widows or aircon

Unfortunately due to the listed status of the building some of the windows are kept shut as they are fragile and expensive to replace. We are also restricted in where we can install air conditioning in the main house.

Room was spacious
Bed mattress was one of the worst I have had in hotel.
2 people an you roll into the middle
Shower in bad very poor I'm only 5.8" and I had to crouch down to get under the shower head.
Staff really nice breakfast was excellent including service but having a good night sleep is paramount to my stay
