"The hotel was great. The only negative was the design of the bathroom door. Frosted glass so when your partner gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom the light shines right through onto the bed."

"One night only but was out for most of the evening. Dined in the restaurant where service was prompt up to main course as we arrived after 9pm and ‘the kitchen was closing’. After main course was served, restaurant staff disappeared and the only staff were those using the restaurant as a thoroughfare on their way home off shift (presumably banqueting staff) who didn’t look left or right in case someone asked them something…. "We chose The Old Grounde Hotel for our first two days upon arrival from the US and it did not disappoint. It set the standard with extremely attentive staff, beautifully maintained historic rooms and the most delicious dinner in their Town Hall restaurant with impeccable service. Highly recommend!"
