"Shoki Shoki House, Stone Town – Great Location but Noisy Night We stayed one night at Shoki Shoki House in Room 1 (Deluxe Double, Ground Floor) to explore Stone Town before heading to Jambiani. On arrival, we had to wait 20 minutes to check in as the room had just been sprayed for mosquitos. The reception staff were friendly, and the room was clean but basic, with a complimentary minibar as a nice touch. "Loved our stay at the tempo b&b! The staff was amazing, especially the two men that helped us with our bags to the room. The dining room is right on the beach so you can have your breakfast staring out at the ocean. From our studio room, we were on the top floor and had a nearly 360 degree water view and we were right in the middle of the touristy part of town. The only confusing part is that you check in at the main Tempo Hotel - but they help you get your bags to the b&b which is maybe a two...

"I loved the charm of the old building. Breakfast was included and was very good. The famous Lukmaan restaurant is right around the corner. There is a mosque across the alley, so you will hear the call to prayer unless you’re a heavy sleeper. There is also street noise but it usually gets quieter the later it gets. There is no parking. Make sure the taxi driver points out the building because it’s very nondescript. Overall a great place to stay. "
