The property owners/hosts are extremely welcoming and accommodating - genuine interest in ensuring you have a great trip to the dales by offering recommendations, advice, helping to solve any problems etc. (e.g. the night we arrived it was late and couldn’t find anywhere to eat - the owner rang around different places on our behalf and ensure we got a table somewhere). Lovely house in a lovely setting with a great breakfast.

A Little off the beaton track!

Posted 25 Aug 2012 on Hotels
Firstly, the Hosts, Trish & Richard were fantastic, very helpful & welcoming. The rooms were very luxurious, whether they were " 5* silver " the jury is still out! Our room that we booked was already occupied, so had to take " second best " Not ideal- only a bath with hand held shower - that was a BIG problem. Each day of our five nights booking there was an omission - towels not replaced, no tea bags & milk, no bath mat, no flannels- all these took the edge off the quality. The food was perfect. The drive was NOT - 0.6 miles up a unmade farm track was NOT what I would have wished for my NEW CAR!

Charming bed and breakfast

Absolutely charming. Very quiet position with fabulous views. The owners had thought of everything you might need, they were most welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. Best B&B I've ever been too.

Excellent location for walking

Posted 3 Jul 2012 on Hotels
Beautifully furnished rooms with everything you could possibly need. Exceptionally clean and well looked after. Excellent breakfast. Good location for walking and lots of nice Pubs nearby serving good food. The owners Richard and Trish and very friendly and full of useful information about the surrounding area. Nothing is too much trouble, they will even make you up a flask of tea or coffe to take with you when you go out walking. Homemade cakes and lovely biscuits in your room every day, together with bottled water and even a decanter of port. Had a lovely weeks stay and would definately go back again. Would highly recommend this B & B.

Little Banks Guest House

Posted 12 Nov 2011 on Hotels
My husband and myself spent a lovely weekend at Little Banks Guest House, Richard and Tricia made us so welcome after showing us to our room we then joined them for a cup of tea and cakes and they told us about places to eat and visit which was very helpful even booking the meal for us. It is the little extras that are put in your room that make it very special. We will visit Little Banks again and would recommend it to all our family and friends
