Fabulous new school hostel and hotel. Friendly staff and spotlessly clean facilities. We booked the large en-suite for four (just us two) for a more hotel-like experience with a private bathroom. The price was more than fair for the large, airy room and comfortable bed. We also loved the storage area for bikes and great coffee from the bar.

Wonderful staff - when I checked in I really wanted to try speaking in French and the staff member I spoke with was so patient and stuck to French but used lots of miming and gestures to help me out. I really appreciated it - I had heard him speak word-perfect English with someone else so I was so grateful that he let me try even though I am sure it could have been frustrating for him. Wish I'd asked his name so I could tell the hostel what a great person they have! Hostel has everything I needed - comfy bed with a privacy curtain, clean toilets and showers, nicely decorated throughout, proper kitchen and eating area. And then, as a lovely bonus, the cafe is so nice!

Helpful staff. Good value breakfast when compared locally.
Pleasant room. Good sized bathroom.
Plenty of sockets.
Good shared kitchen facility.
Enough of a buzz in the cafe/bar area.
Nice not to have a TV

0ur room was 30C /86F when we checked in on July 12th at1:00am. The small A/C unit was off. We turned it to max cold- 24C/75F- controlled by front desk. Attendant could not set it colder.
We paid $188 for a large room with very basic furniture. (Metal bunk bed, no tv, simple queen bed)
We advised them of our late check in time. Very disappointed they had not turned on the A/C - the room was much too hot and humid to sleep in comfortably.
At 2:30am the room temp was 27C - still too hot to fall asleep. Perhaps Europeans are more accustomed to sleeping in warm rooms? Being from the states, we expected “air conditioned room” to mean room temp would be less than 80F and humid.
Otherwise, the was clean and the attendant was polite.

The staff here were excellent. Great recommendations for dinner and touring. Heavy vehicle traffic and no parking in the city.

Chic, peaceful gem on the Mediterranean coast
Posted 31 Jul 2018 on HotelsI didn't know this place was brand new when I booked it, but when I arrived they were still bustling around putting the duvet covers on and installing electrical outlets! This hotel/hostel will do VERY well. I stayed three nights because I was seeing PETE DOHERTY at the lovely Theatre del Mer-- the amphitheater on the sea just down the road. It was soooo nice there--for such a low price (I stayed in a dorm room -- it's also a guesthouse)--that all the guests were talking to each other about it. The guys running the place obviously have very high standards. Great air conditioning, COMFORTABLE beds with big pillows, huge glamorous dorm room with a balcony and--I think I am remembering this?--crown moldings and a chandelier?! The common spaces by the kitchen could be at a modern hotel in Soho in NYC. Amazing location right on one of See's famous canals -- on Sunday you can watch the kooky water-jousting spectacle. Quick walk from train -- you can use a stay in Sete to explore neighboring Beziers, Montpellier, Narbonne, etc. Friendly people (not always the case when you are American traveling in France and don't speak French, like me!). I loved this place and could have stayed a month. Book it! FYI I am always wary of rave reviews -- they sound fake -- but this review is real; the place really deserves one.
