The pool was dirty. But mostly, except for 1 person that let us borrow a cooler, the staff made you feel you were imposing on them. They were not friendly at all.

A very nice place in the middle of nowhere. The extra activities are all worth it, especially the feeding of the cheetahs.

An excellent guest house; interesting history

Pros: Gave us a good stopping point for exploring the local area as well as visiting Sossusvlei (early start recommended!)
Location: Interesting old garden design - tall palms and stone-work based on a series of natural springs which make this place a little oasis.
Great facilities, with small restaurant and braai facility.
Excellent Cheetah feeding experience.
Good bird life and we saw Mountain Zebra over the road, on a fascinating self-drive to Honey Canyon.
Interesting also as a working farm and winery.

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on Neuras Wine Estate.
We do apologize for any inconvenience caused and that you feel we do not advertise the property correctly. We are located on the B854 route which is not really a remote area and rather a well know area with Sossusvlei being just about 80km from Neuras. Neuras create the feeling of a working / operational farm so it might seem quiet compared to the other lodges that you have visited during your time in Namibia.
We do hope that you will come and visit again in order to get the real feel of Neuras as it’s a quite unique and spectacular property with the beautiful vineyards that we have in the middle of the dessert area.
Once again, we would like to apologize that you feel we are advertising falsely.
Kind Regards

Unwilling to resolve a problem, even after I offered a solution where I would pay for their trouble. Just too greedy, I guess.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, we do have cancellation policies in place and thus we had to charge the full cost seeing that you wanted to cancel the booking on the evening of arrival.
We do apologize for any inconvenience, but we have to unfortunately stick to policies.
Trust you do understand.
Thank you.
Kind Regards

Pros: The scenic setting, and the concept of a lodge which is working farm, winery, and a wildlife conservation project.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Cheetah feeding, walks, and winery tour, and simply enjoying the setting
Neuras Estate is a rather unique experience for those who like something that is definitely not mainstream.
This is a working farm, winery, and a wildlife conservation project. The location is remote, truly for those who like tranquility. The cheetah feeding was a unique experience, and the winery tour and tasting was also very good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Sitting on the porch for breakfast, and observing the birds in the trees, the geese and ducks feeding on the lawn just in front of the restaurant area was nice. And not to forget the three "house-goats" strolling around the farm.
