Amazing views, beach within walking distance, very helpful staff. The residence was in a good position for exploring interesting sights in the surrounding area. Our apartment was in a very quiet part, the whole residence was calm and relaxed. We would definitely go again.

Corsican Honeymoon

Pros: Location was quiet with good views (when not spoilt as above!!!). Not too many people about at that time of year and remained peaceful and quiet.
Cons: There needs to be a properly manned recepton all the time. Better way to hand the key back and ensure the deposit credit card details are destroyed
Location: Quiet location but nothing to do nearby. Hopeless if one does not have a hire car.
Difficult to find the actual entrance. Ambiguous, inadequate signage. Reception closed therefore had to wait 2 hours before being able to get the car and luggage in. No information that reception had opening hours when booking so wasted time. Inventory had to be carried out on arrival and then had to walk back up a steep hill with the form. Missing items were never replaced anyway so what was the point? Breakfast al fresco ruined every morning by a plague of wasps and then gauloise smoking maintenance men who parked their vehicle across our view without even a 'Bonjour' . A room inspection was required and had to be booked. All very military but we were on honeymoon. We are 57 and 55 years old, English, yes but definately not hooligans!!! On leaving early for the airport reception was once again closed. Though there were staff inside and I gesticulated through the glass door that I was leaving and wanted to hand the key back they resolutely refused to open the door indicating they would open at 9. Fine but I needed to get to the airport!! Left key outside. Also barrier would not be opened to get car in to pick up luggage which meant I had to lug 4 heavy cases up a very steep hill in the heat. All very unhelpful. Not so good for my wife who was recovering from a recent stroke!! Asked for a kettle told they would look. Finally unable to assist. When I left I saw at least 10 in the baggage room.

Good accommodation in quiet village
Posted 7 Sep 2015The accommodation is in a quiet village with a couple of restaurants and not much else. The onsite facilities are good, including a small shop and restaurant, pool, mini golf, children's play area and boules area. The staff are very friendly and speak English well.
The walk to the beach is steep, but worth it (you can drive). The small town of Porto Pollo is nearby with more restaurants, shops and small (but expensive) Spar supermarket.
Accommodation is basic, but has everything you need. More than 2 people and it would feel crowded in one of the rooms. Fantastic views, especially if you have a sea view and watching the sunset.

Fantastic service
Posted 24 Sep 2014 on HotelsOverall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, in fact extending it from 5 nights to 7. The service at reception was excellent; they were able to accommodate us for the extra 2 nights in the same villa, and helped to change our ferry bookings. One morning we found that the battery on our car was dead, and they searched until some leads were found to sort the problem. I found the walk to the beach and back difficult, but it was not far in the car, and the overall neighbourhood is stunning.

Good self catering apartment in a rural setting.

Pros: We liked the quiet rural setting ,the views and the local walks. The spacious accommodation was well equipped and the bar staff were very friendly.
Cons: On arrival we could not check in before 3pm.( Sunday). Midday would suit early arrivals after long journeys
Location: Explore the walks to Cupabaia (beach) and Porto Pollo Village and beach on foot for the fit. Eat at the nearby village restaurants. Drive and explore.
We had a fantastic time and enjoyed the tranquillity. Wi -fi reception was poor but this was a plus for us The staff were very helpful despite our limited French. Basics were available in the small shop while the snack bar/ restaurant with take away service was good. The pool and area were clean and pleasant and we overlooked the bay.The small play area and mini-golf could amuse children The fantastic beach was about 30 mins away down a winding track but it was well worth the effort. We hired a car at the airport and this is a must for this location. We toured the South west area and were delighted with all parts returning at various times to always know we could get a good meal locally. The azure sea, the heathland,and the beaches were superb.

Posted 6 Oct 2013 on HotelsWe stayed here for a week in late Sept/ Early Oct in a T2 villa. Basic but perfectly functional. The pool was lovely and warm and the views spectacular. Be prepared for the walk to the beach it's further than it looks but well worth it. Next time I would definitely pay extra for the sea view but overall great value for money.

Serra di ferro est un petit village typique,très agréable. A proximité de deux très belles plages.
L’appartement a une belle vue,en revanche les équipements/installations sont très moyennes…

Mais travaux à faire absolument, connections internet inexistante, mauvaise literie . Douche trop petite pour les grandes personnes.
WC se bouche tout le temps .
