All was well till it was time for check out. The staff that day all seem to be not so good mood and were rather curt when we asked for help with luggage and luggage storage for just 2 hours this marred an otherwise good experience.

Hotel is the closest it can be to the Shinkansen tracks, and still super quiet. Excellent and convenient location if you want to use Sendai station as a hub to explore within and outside Sendai by train.

Our stay at the Metropolitan was great. We did have a little issue finding the hotel since there are two Metropolitan Hotels near Sendai Station. Make sure you go for the Metropolitan East.

I was amazed that I could see the Shinkansen from my room, but not hear it at all. The soundproofing is superb. The hotel connects to the train station with everything you might need.
I was a little disappointed by breakfast. Crowded and not the quality I’d hoped for. Probably won’t opt for it here next time.
