The breakfast was delicious and satisfying. It is walking distance to the center of the village. The room was smaller than it looked online and the bathroom was tiny. There was no mattress pad or liner so we could feel the stitching and edging of the mattress through the sheet. Overall, for the price, I’d go to a different village instead of Barr.

Perfect location
The Hotel is charming but run down. Perfect location in the city only minutes from the center. Breakfast is at 10€ pp extra but good value and very good service from the lady running it. Nothing else is served.

Hotel in an old winemakers villa. Very well located with nicely landscaped garden. Friendly service, good breakfast. Rooms somewhat small, esp. bathroom.

Lovely grand old hotel
We stayed with our family in the apartment, extending our stay as a lovely space (incl. nice spacious bathroom!) Bit disappointed with lack of cooking equipment (full kitchen yet one pot, no dishes for oven use etc, defies purpose). Hotel lovely, quaint wee town mostly closed as off peak season, but handy for Alsace wine tasting!

we stayed one night on our way back to England from Italy. as a family of 5 we stayed in the family room on the 3rd (attic) floor. there was no lift so carrying heavy suitcases up to the attic on the 3rd floor can be a struggle. the last bit is very narrow and steep up to the attic proper. the room was lovely with a good kitchen and large shower although because you are in the roof you have to mind your head. Being in the roof though does give you some lovely views of the village. the proprietor was very helpful and spoke good English.

Manor provides old French experience
We stayed two nights in this charming manor with our two teenagers. It was a fun French experience. Everyone slept well on comfortable beds. Staff very friendly. The only negatives were some noise from the street through the open windows, and there was no shower stall -- only a bathtub. The hotel is located within walking distance of the shopping area of the village. Village has several nice shops and restaurants.

Tired and worn-out but good location
Good location in Barr and the host seemed quite friendly. A shame that the hotel generally seemed very “tried”, with low quality and old furnitures. Hotel generally seemed to be in need of a renovation and paint job. Big hotel apartment with kitchen but almost no plates, knifes etc. Why have a kitchen if it can’t be used? Toilet seat was cheap plastic that was loose and fell of several times. Two of the small windows in the room missed glass and added to the sad look. We tried both beds during the four days but both where very hard to sleep in. If this was a cheaper B&B it would have been fine but at around € 150 per night it was disappointing.

Local bonito e clássico. Cheiro ruim desapontou.
A primeira impressão foi muito ruim pois o hotel cheirava a esgoto quando entramos. O cheiro permaneceu durante a nossa estadia (uma diária). A banheira (chuveiro) apresentava alguma sujeira solta que lavamos para o ralo como chuveiro. Café da manhã bom, com variedade. O quarto muito bonito com decoração clássica e compatível com o estilo do hotel. Falta um frigobar (pequena refrigerador de quarto).
