What can I say about this place? We have never felt so welcomed by the Turkish hospitality as we were here. The service at this hotel is absolutely TOP NOTCH. I don't think we've ever been treated better.
The hotel was beautiful and the swimming pool in the courtyard was so pretty.
Our room was wonderful and comfortable. We had a small balcony for fresh air and AC as well. The bed was super nice and provided a very good night's rest.
Truly the highlight though, was the staff and the people who run this place. From the very start, we were welcomed in and everyone was immediately helpful. Every day at breakfast we were greeted and we chatted about what we'd do that day and were given recommendations. Breakfast, by the way, was another highlight. It was always delicious and there are so many options!! After we came in for the night, they would always ask about our day and how our day was going.
I noticed the staff also just casually chatting with guests over tea and asking them questions. It was very sweet and genuine. They are just so kind to every guest.
Sidenote: when you first get to the place, the neighborhood looks a little scary, but you quickly learn that this is nothing. The area is safe and we walked around many nights without ever feeling uneasy. We even were welcomed into a neighborhood gathering one night.
I have only the highest recommendations for this hotel. We look forward to spending time with you all again! We will be back!
Very nice, maybe tried too hard to be helpful by telling us all about Ephesus. We already knew, that’s why we were there! But spent five minutes showing us a book when all we wanted was to get tour room
LOVE this hotel. Omer, the owners’ son was super friendly, helpful and spoke great English. The property and rooms were beautiful with little balconies and gorgeous furniture made by his family. The breakfast was delicious. The pool and courtyard were super cute and so refreshing on hot days. The location is perfect, on a quiet street just off the main road so easy to walk to shops and sites. Will definitely stay here again!!
Loved this place! Management is EXCELLENT! Run by a family that is friendly and available to help at all hours of the day. Breakfast is DELICIOUS! Lots of choices. Try the chocolate pudding. It was my favorite. We stayed in four different places during our vacation and this was by far the best and also the least expensive.
Lovely hotel. A bit further out than that the other main tourist hotels but worth the extra 5min walk. Good size room and well kept. Balcony view for the outer rooms is a wall but would be quieter than the pool/courtyard facing rooms.
Roof terrance was being refit when I stayed but other than that, a very charming hotel. Recommend it if you plan on visiting the area.
Great stay , close distance to everything like St. John cathedral, the area with restaurants , amazing service from staff and yummy breakfast, they help us arrange a tour a day and we had the best day. Totally recommend you to stay here if wanting to enjoy the beautiful sites like Ephesus .
Comfortable room and good breakfast. No restaurant.
Hotel is located on a backstreet but easy walking distance to a street which is full of restaurants. Very nice view of the castle from the road outside.
You could walk to the castle and basillica and Ephesus is only a few kilometres away. Selcuk is a pleasant place to stay.
Pool is not heated.
The Saint John Hotel in Selcuk is a real gem! It is a beautiful boutique hotel, very attractively appointed in the public areas and the rooms. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. This was a true high point in a two-week tour of Turkey.
Lovely comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast. Quiet and friendly staff. Made us feel welcome and was helpful in arranging a guide that was excellent. Would stay again
A beautiful small courtyard hotel with a lovely pool. Close to centre of Selcuk and perfect base for seeing Ephesus. Outstanding Turkish buffet breakfast.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
This was truly a hidden gem! Beautiful property, helpful lovely staff, the best breakfast in our 3 weeks of travel.
It was an easy quick walk to town and Saint John church ruins and castle. The only drawback was that it is situated on a dumpy street.
