I was confirmed and assured through Expedia on the 24th that there was an reservation. The manager cancelled all reservations and didn't contact anyone. I was not the only one. I had nowhere to stay and I came from Georgia alone. Needless to say, I was livid.

Reservations are not allowed
Posted 27 May 2023 on HotelsWhen I went to check in at 4:35 p.m., I was told there was no way to check in because they do not serve overnight stays anymore. They have turned into an apartment complex and you have to file an application to live there. Even though I had a reservation through hotels.com two months prior to this check-in. And hotels.com was unable to reach anyone and management to waive the penalty for a cancellation, even though you cancellation was their fault not mine. So not only do you lose your reservation you also lose your money and you have to pay more money to go somewhere else in town and find another room for the night. On the front door they also had a stop work permit because of them turning it into an apartment complex instead of just a hotel, they cannot finish plumbing and electricity because they did not file the correct permits. This was absolutely terrible on i-65 studios and with hotels.com resolving the issue.

This property was not as advertised and very unclean and felt unsafe. The front desk staff was kind, but did not check our ids or need any sort of information. There appeared to be people living here long term, the doors had painters tape rather than numbers, the hallways were very dirty, room smelled of smoke and music was loud all night. The facets hot and cold were backwards and the toilet was shimmed and leaked with each flush. Also, there was a stop work order on exterior door indicating that any attempted renovations had been denied for the property. Also all exterior doors were unlocked and the building was unsecure.

Our room had one towel (wash cloth) , unable to get more since front desk is not staffed. Many people appear to live there and hallways were not vacuumed.

No phone in room. So if you needed anything you had to go down to the front desk and pick up a phone on the counter to get a hold of someone. Microwave but you would have to move it to plug it in. Toilet backed up for an entire day. Supposed to have two beds. They brought us a bed but with no sheets or comforter or pillows. Towels were stinky. No ice bucket. No elevator for handicap people. Lobby closed Saturday and Sunday.
The lady there Saturday and Sunday was very nice though and came up Sunday to plunge the toilet and clean it.
It was a very weird experience.

It had no elevator. Our room was clean, but I think the remodel was not finished. the spot check had not been completed. We missed not having breakfast at the hotel. However, that’s not your policy and we knew that going in.

Bed was super comfortable, room and lobby clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. Disappointed they didn't offer breakfast as advertised due to ongoing remodeling.
