The check-in staff was nice but the person at checkout was very rude and argumentative. "Out in the rolling countryside but well worth the drive. Were well looked after from the moment we arrived. Very comfortable room with lovely view across the estate. After a long drive the bed was so comfortable! Dinner was excellent and service likewise. The choice was varied and included some local specialities. Excellent wine from the estate vineyard. Definitely a stay to remember. One drawback is no lift, so if you need one ask for a first floor room."
