This place is off the beaten path, but so worth it! You can't beat the views when you are at the top of the mountain...the staff was so sweet and accommodating. The room was clean, parking is very convenient. A unique breakfast is served everyday. If I could change one thing I would have preferred breakfast be served a little earlier..they serve it at 9AM. But that would be my only "criticism"... :) I highly recommend this place and will stay here again!

Nice mt. top views after a .5 mile drive up a gravel rd.
Rooms are primitive. No a/c and very limited privacy since the patio doors must stay open to get air circulation into the rooms.
On-site meal options were a fixed menu breakfast no earlier than 9am or an expensive price fixed dinner by reservation only. There is no on-site bar service so byob.
Nice property but next trip to Highlands we will stay in
Highlands.

Hi Mr. Hecht,Thank you for your input. As you are aware, the Resort has recently changed hands in the last few weeks and the new owners are working diligently to upgrade the amenities available. AC has been added to all rooms. As most B & B's a gourmet breakfast is included in the price of your stay and our Cloud 7 Restaurant is open with a 5 star menu and a world class chef. Also, we offer bar services to diners on a complimentary basis until our liquor license is issued in a few weeks. As you never took advantage of our fabulous menu, you were not able to appreciate the full experience of what we offered. Regarding the gravel road, that is an optional access. We also offer "paved" access via our private road. We offer the best views and accommodations in the area, far exceeding anything you will find in Highlands, at a fraction of the cost. Your budget will likely limit your choices there.

NEGATIVES-GREATLY LACKING IN AMENITIES ON THE GROUNDS. NO TV. INTERNET WOULD NOT WORK FOR ANYONE. CELL PHONE SERVICE VERY WEAK.ONLY 2 CHAIRS FOR EXTERIOR SEATING OUTDOORS IN THE COMMON AREAS. OVERPRICED ONSITE MEALS. DIFFICULT TO FIND THE PROPERTY AS SIGNS INTO PROPERTY ENTRANCE DON'T EXIST OR ARE CONFUSING AFTER ARRIVING ON THE GROUNDS. PRICING FOR THE CABINS IS HIGH. MINIMALIST
FURNISHINGS AND DECORATIONS IN CABIN. POSITIVES- HIGH ALTITUDE,3800', WHICH MEANS COOL AIR AND NO AC IN CABINS GENERALLY NEEDED. GROUNDS ARE WELL MAINTAINED AND CABIN WAS VERY CLEAN. NICE MOUNTAIN VIEWS. QUIET ENVIROMENT. STAFF IS RESPONSIVE BUT NOT OVERLY WARM AND WELCOMING.

Thanks for pointing these things out. As new owners, we are working quickly to rectify these short comings including, Air Conditioning, plenty of seating and high powered starlink internet/cell service. Also, new furnishings, beddings and new restaurant!
