Emaho Sekawa is a total gem! Fijian warmth and hospitality was on full display from the warm welcome ceremony to the heartwarming goodbye song. The staff were top notch. They were attentive and accommodating at every turn, offering the highest level of personalized service you could imagine. They showed genuine interest in making sure we enjoyed every moment of our stay. We truly enjoyed all activities (sea kayaking, snorkeling, sand island, mud bath and waterfalls, cocoa plantation tour). The property itself is spectacular, with breathtaking ocean and mountain views. We stayed in Villa Emaho which offered total luxury, peace, and tranquility nestled among the dense tropical hillside overlooking Savusavu Bay. The villa was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Everything was in great working order and housekeeping/laundry upon request made our stay very comfortable. The food and service were superb! Everything was made to order with fresh, with local ingredients and served in our villa or at the bar. We were there to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday and the chef even made us a delicious gluten free birthday cake with cassava flour!

A magical stay in a secluded resort

Emaho Sekawa Resort is amazing! My stay was magical and so relaxing. You will wake up each morning to a stunning view from your villa. The resort provides great service and helps you with everything. The staff is fantastic in every way; warm, friendly and helpful. The food was very good with choices for different palates. The resort provides a lot of activities and transport whenever it’s suitable for you. I strongly recommend a stay at Emaho Sekawa Resort!

My wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon and wanted to have a "once in a life time" experience. I can say that staying here was just that! We were treated like royalty the entire visit. From the moment we arrived at the air port, Kelle (probably misspelling) AKA "The Kava King" greeted us with a genuine smile and Bula welcome. When we arrived at the hotel after a short 15 min drive, we were welcomed by some of the most beautiful voices on the island. They were singing a native song that was so warm and soothing. When you arrive you are overwhelmed with spectacular 360 degree panoramic views that don't stop! If you are looking for an exclusive resort and have someone to wait on you hand and foot this Emaho is a must stay. The staff so incredibly kind and genuine, the Fijian people are like no other. If you have ever heard of "southern hospitality" the Fijians make southerners seem like "New Yorkers". Fijians have such a beautiful culture. This is a 5 star exclusive resort, anything you want the make happen. The staff is so accommodating we were taking care of by the same people the entire time. They get to know how you like your food and drinks. The chief was a MASTER!! Eating at Emaho was like being at a 5 star 5 table cloth restaurant every night! We had lunch at a highly rated restaurant in town and were sad we didn't eat at the resort. The staff Mary, Chantel, Noni, Ini, Kelle, Vika, and Suki (please forgive my spelling) were all amazing!

We stayed as family with 2 teenage boys in the Grand Residence for 5 nights which was spectacular, with views across the bay and rainforest. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the cart ride down to the beach was fun. We had a great time, however were disappointed with the food - one night the fish was inedible. We were also let down by the constant power outages and delay in firing up the back up generator - we were left in the dark with no running water for hours on our first night. The remote controls for the TVs in the bedrooms had no batteries, and when fixed, didn't work. Also the DVD collection are copies of poor quality. These issues didn't spoil our stay but they are what we expect from a 5 star resort.

Breathtaking

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
Spectacular location, perched on a mountaintop, featuring panoramic views overlooking lush rainforest, valley & river below, mountains in the distance, and a glorious expanse of ocean and coastline. Luxurious villas constructed in harmony with natural surroundings. Flawless service, gourmet meals, and nearby ample activities (black sand beach great for walking and swimming, sea and river kayaking, waterfall hikes, rainforest walks, bird & bat watching, close to Savusavu town, etc). Fantastic, beautiful, and luxurious, yet still intimate, peaceful, and natural.
