Our girls group liked the walking convenience to everything for the weekend. The property was doing some upgrades and ended up giving us two rooms due. We appreciated being accommodated even during a busy weekend.

This hotel is deceitful. We booked a reservation at a specified rate. At check-in, after swiping our card, we were told a $25 Destination Charge was added. So, the total rate was really $25 more than agreed. There was nothing we could do. We did not have a car and could not go someplace else. So we paid the extra amount and stayed.

The property looked nice aside the 1980s style shower head and hose.
Let’s get to the room. The shower water vacillated from scalding hot to no hot water at all throughout every shower taken. Three people checked in to a room with two beds… the bathroom had exactly one washcloth, on hand towel, and one of (the slightly larger than a hand towel) floor towel you put down so you don’t slip getting out of the shower. NOTHING ELSE! Including a garbage can.
There was one trash container in the entire place and it was so small, a carry out styrofoam (for leftovers from a restaurant) tray couldn’t fit.
I’ve received no emails or paperwork explaining the bill or at all for that matter, explaining the additional $1400 they’ve charged to my account AFTER they’d charged for the room stay and per fee!!!
I WARN ALL TRAVELERS, DO NOT STAY AT THE INDIGO HOTEL! There are FAR better hotels all around the Indigo in downtown Savannah.
I know for certain because I’ve stayed in easily a half dozen of them, and they were all top notch. SMH😞

Mike, the team hopes to address your concerns with clarity. The unique historic ambiance of our property brings certain quirks, yet guest comfort remains a key priority. Efforts are continuously made to enhance every guest's experience, including working to address the fluctuating water temperature and room amenities. Communication regarding billing is important, and the team is available to assist with any clarifications required. If future travels bring you back to the area, they would appreciate another opportunity to provide a more positive experience.

We stayed three nights, they did not clean our room until we complained. We had to ask for towels every day snd had to adk them to empty the trash. They never cleaned the floor. Our friends were staying across the hall and had the same problems. This was my third time staying at this property and I did not have these problems in the past. I really like the central location of this hotel but I probably will not stay here again.

The central location of our hotel is indeed a significant advantage, and it's regrettable that this stay did not meet your expectations. Hotel Indigo Savannah has a lot to offer, especially if you’re looking to stay in a vibrant, walkable area. The location is fantastic – it’s close to many bars, restaurants, and attractions, making it easy to explore the historic district without needing a car. As a nice touch, they offer free drink tokens at the hotel bar, and overall, the pricing is reasonable, especially for the area. The bedding was clean, and it’s pet-friendly, which was a big plus.
However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. Valet parking is the only option, and it comes at $50 per night, which can add up quickly. The hotel could use some updates; there are visible signs of wear, with chipped or stained paint in hallways and rooms, and plumbing issues. Our sink backed up easily, and the toilet made noise unless you manually filled the tank with water. If you’re on the first floor, it can be quite noisy at night, both from the bar down the hall and from outside foot traffic. The walls are thin, so sound travels easily.
Overall, while Hotel Indigo has its charms and convenience, it could benefit from some renovations and improvements in functionality.
