This property was a lot different than advertised. This location felt more like a nursing residence rather than a resort. There were only older residents staying at the location with no energy. There was no entertainment or activities. The food was horrible, it lacked taste. The “snack bar” had ants over the bread at all times. It seems like they served left overs from the inside buffet. We had to leave the resort to find great food. My wife and I watched the bartender add water to the alcohol bottles. Then served us shots from the same bottles moments later. The drinks were all watered down even the orange and pineapple juice! The resort has great views and maintained well on the outside. This property is very close to the airport! I would recommend redesigning the tile floors outside to take into account when it rains, it causes safety issues with slipping all around. Every staff member did not seem to like their job. The only engaged employee was the driver of the shuttle. Overall, I would not recommend this resort.

Even if you choose to use the safe Make sure you do not being any valuables like jewelry and keep cash on youvat all times. We had 2 friends that had items stolen cash and jewelry. The food choices are very limited and breakfast is the exact same choices daily. There are long gaps of time where no food is offered. Nice location but very hilly but transportation is offered. There are lots of excursions to choose from.

The main areas of the resort are nice. Needs some upkeep but has nice grounds. The basic room, at least ours, wasnt good. Room 210. Had mold and smelled terrible. We were finally ugraded on night 4. We had early check in after 930 but didnt get our room until 4pm and it wasnt stocked. The food was the same every day for the most part. The a la cart grill was really good, the oriental not so much. Lots of iguanas and geckos! Howler monkeys as well! It was definitely peaceful as we went in off season.

Everyone was so friendly and had no issues at all. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain, but still enjoyed all of the wonderful people we met! Check in was very smooth and no issues with our room! Building #2. Went to coco beach to do some shopping and used uber. Was worth the trip. Food was okay, if you are not a picky eater. I do not eat meat, so it was a bit of an issue there. Otherwise no complaints!

The resort is beautiful, but the food was not that great. Coffee was good. I would go back again.

The perception desk where very good people the dining staff was great except the ones in oriental dinner place there. The drivers were e collet the place is very nice on a he outside. Inside the rooms kinda old and bed not comfortable the maid service was not good. Did not like having to use bath towels over and over

Like the property but need to do renovation for rooms and washroom both. Very beautiful location but can't see the view from balcony as too many high trees. Food options are limited for vegetarian.

This is our second time at this hotel and we love it here. While the view from our room was spectacular, we did have a broken fridge that didn’t ever get fixed and some water leaking from the A/C vent on the first night. Other than that — we would come back again, for sure. The food is always varied and excellent; the staff are friendly and helpful; and the property is quiet and enjoyable.

I don't know if I just drew the short straw, or everyone was dealing with the same issues, but I couldn't in good conscious recommend this hotel. The food is limited and rooms are outdated but the biggest issue I had was the electric in my room. The air conditioner would periodically just stop working and to get it working again we would have to call reception to have them send a maintenance worker to reset it. That would often take an hour or two to show up. Fine if it's in the day light hours but when it went off at 1am, you couldn't fall asleep. It was super irritating because the room temperature just got so hot and no employee on the property seemed to care. The property would loose power occasionally but that never lasted that long but you'd loose Internet and the AC would cut out. I think Costa Rica is a wonderful country and I would return but I would never come back to this resort.
