After letting me check in several hours early, he was very knowledgeable about the island, and was generous with his bike and even gave me a ride. T|here is a beautiful view, and the room was very comfortable, if a little damp - which I suspect is the same for most of Pico. I had a very fun stay here and would really recommend

Not recommend unless on a shoestring budget
Posted 2 Sep 2020 on HotelsUnlike the others places we stayed at in the Azores, here things LOOKED good but seldom worked. The door to the bathroom didn't close, we couldn't lock the door to our room (!), the fan in the bathroom sounded like a small airplane was taking off (no windows). Although promised, there was no room service, and we actually had to spend a day without toilet paper. After two weeks on the islands it was the first time we saw a cockroach (in the room), and mosquitoes (also in the room). The owner is very friendly and helpful, although a bit intrusive for our north-European taste, and seems to live on premises and the communal area is also his own office, where he spends time watching tv and listening to music, sometimes at the same time. The views are nice, but the outdoor areas lack tables (there's only one). No air conditioning, as advertised, but not even a fan in the room made the nights hot and muggy. Next time we'll invest a bit more money in the hope to get something closer to a hotel room.

Os clientes eram arrogantes e insolentes e nunca estavam contentes com nada, seria conveniente eles se informarem para a próxima vez dos locais onde pretendem visitar.

Good views, clean, room with no view
Posted 4 Oct 2018The pictures are a little deceiving as some of the rooms have no windows and you need to use the door as a window. If the room faces the driveway, there’s not much privacy. Our room was closest to the main street so we had a bright light shining through the door also.
Otherwise rooms are clean and relatively new. It’s far from the town so you need a car to get around.
