Hotel was excellent. My one complaint is that the restaurant/room service was very bad. I’m not sure who the chef is but food is almost always overcooked or the dishes are smothered in fats….

if you pay with USA credit card for stay will be ripped off because they pay miserable conversion dollar to real. no good for foreigner to stay unless you pay with Brazilian currency

On the plus side, the location is nice (walkable to the museum, cafes etc.), the breakfast is decent (though not outstanding) and the price is reasonable for the area. But there were serious negatives - an unpleasant smell in the corridors, and a tiny bathroom with an uncomfortable shower area, very few bathroom amenities, not enough towels for a double room and the towels were fluffy decades ago but needed to be changed about 10 years before. I have seen much nicer bathrooms in 3 star hotels. This is not a 4 star hotel.

Always back 2 or 3 times a year since 2019 to this nice and friendly hotel. Thanks to Fernando and all staff for great attention to details. Buffet breakfast has room for improvment. Was quite better before the COVID Pandemia. Will be back in August!
