Don't stay there

Have never been so disappointed. No heating, no hot water, place was dirty. Would really like a refund as we only stayed one night out of seven we paid for. A complete disaster.

Great location and comfortable

Posted 21 Jan 2017 on Hotels
We had 2 rooms. Great location and nice room, comfortable bed, wifi, full kitchen. No air conditioning , so very hot during the day. Rooms do cool down after dark, but that is after 10 pm sunset. Allow time for checking in because this really is an apartment complex with some hotel units, so the desk has to notify hotel people to come down to meet guests. Hotel staff was gracious to allow bag storage until 3pm check in, and after noon checkout. They also can help arrange driver for day trip and airport. Great location and nice neighborhood. Can walk to almost anywhere in 30 minutes maximum. Grocery 2 blocks away. Santa Lucia is 5 minutes walk. Ask about roof access for a spectacular view of the city, also a pool. Will definitely stay here again.

Well positioned for my purposes

Posted 25 Sep 2016
Pros: Position in the city, close to shopping and restaurants. Reasonably quiet.
Cons: Servicing and communication, room condition, marks on wall and dirty rugs , laundry could have a washing machine.
Location: Location was great, shopping restaurants, in city and close to Lastarria
The internet was not working for 4 days out of my 7 night stay, room was only serviced 3 times in the 7 nights, the washing machine was missing from the laundry. These were an issue. I don't speak Spanish was very difficult to communicate with any staff at this facility that must have at least 1500 rooms, most medium sized Hotels say of 100 rooms around the world would have somebody that can at least communicate in English.

Nice room but horrible when it came to organising check in. My advise is call in before you turn up to make sure your room is ready!!

Inexpensive in great location

Posted 3 May 2015 on Hotels
We stayed here for 4 nights and loved every minute of it as it was more of an apartment than a hotel. We were so sick of eating on the run during our travels it was great to sit down to a home cooked meal and a bottle of wine. Close to Santa Lucia park, the historic Lastarria district and Santa Lucia markets, (a great place to buy lapis lazuli.) A supermarket metres away and walking distance to so many other places of interest. And it was quite inexpensive without being down market. We would definitely stay here again.

Better off staying somewhere else.

As many other reviews say, check-in is a little bit of a challenge. You get to the front desk of the building, but this is an apartment building, not really a hotel. So then you wait for a hotel staff member to come down, you go up to their office, then have to go to your room. Not a big deal, but just slow. Don't expect much information or service from the building's front desk. The room I had needed a lot of work and a major cleaning. The rug on the floor was nasty. Big shag rug that is designed to catch lots of dirt and it was doing a good job. No telling how long it had been since it was last cleaned. There was a small, single extra bed under the staircase leading up to the upper floor with the main bedroom. The white cover on the bed showcased all of the dirt falling off the open stairs - those needed to be cleaned, too. Lots of chipped and peeling paint in the ceiling of the bathroom. Only one bulb and it was rather dim in there. Also, don't stay in this "hotel" if you don't like the heat. There's no air conditioning. Having a kitchen was a nice idea, but it was minimally stocked so cooking was going to be rather difficult without investing money in certain necesities (pots, pans, etc). Just cheaper to eat out. However, the location is great. Lots of really cool neighborhoods nearby and the best stuff Santiago has to offer is within walking distance.

No complaints. Housekeeping only comes in and changes the sheets every 3 days and they don't clean but overall, it is a good value and I will be back again.

Great location; Check-in a Hassle

Posted 25 Jan 2015 on Hotels
I've stayed in all kinds of properties all over the world, and I have to say that the check-in here was more than a bit convoluted. Since it's a residential apartment building, your first stop with the attendant at the front desk, who makes you wait awkwardly with your bags until a mysterious agent comes to fetch you and take you upstairs to an office in an entirely different tower. I then had to find my room in a third tower. There is little continuity in the process, and you have a sense of disorientation. I will say that everyone involved was pretty polite, at least. The room was great - nice little kitchen, big couch and a comfortable king bed. All good space. The bathroom was fine - great water pressure, especially - but I had a few qualms: the shower head didn't fit into its holder, so it had to be balanced there precariously. The white towels had been washed, but they had lost their brightness, so you had the feeling of using a dirty towel even when you weren't. I'm used to a little inconvenience. It's the price you pay to stay cheap in good neighborhoods, and this was definitely a solid hotel in a really great location in centro with a lot of walkable options. But without language skills and a sense of adventure - or if you're in a hurry - I wouldn't take this one on.
