Don’t book through hotels.com
Posted 23 Sep 2019 on HotelsI wouldn’t know how club esse was because I didn’t stay there. I booked the room through hotels.com and then got to the hotel and they had no rooms available and didn’t have my reservation. Hotels.com customer service was terrible as well. Still haven’t received a refund or communication from them

May be better in high season.
Posted 17 May 2019 on HotelsThe hotel looks good but is very tired. The rooms are like glorified beach huts/cav s (mine had no windows other than the bathroom)
The choice of food in the restaurant was very limited 2 items per course and the quality of the meat was poor/tough.
The pool table was ripped
The breakfast was good and staff excellent. It feels jaded.
This may be because it’s early in the season.

Good location but a few improvements needed

Pros: Location
Cons: Room / apartment decor, get rid of the extra charge, improve indoor bar area and pool bar
Location: Santa Teresa is lovely but you only need one week as once you've seen the town square a few times there not much else to do.
Location is fantastic and the best thing was being able to swim directly from the rocks at the bottom of the steps leading down from the hotel in crystal blue waters. Amazing sunsets too. However the hotel is a bit tatty and needs to be freshened up, paint was peeling off doors, bathroom shelf was falling off, sockets coming off walls, rattly air con, missing lightbulb in our room when we arrived etc Most staff only speak Italian, some a bit of German, only one person spoke English so it was hard to get help. By far the worst thing was that you had to pay an 80 Euro surcharge for 'use of the pool and beach'. Why not just include this in the price? The pool staff used the pool area as their own personal disco every day, blaring loud music while they were there for 3 hours each morning and 3 hours each evening and throwing each other in the pool. The pool bar could really do with being done up as it's an amazing pool and view and could be so much better. Would still recommend this hotel for the location, view and proximity to Santa Teresa town although you must have a bike or car to get around, only 8 minutes driving to town.

Nice place for accessing Capo Testa
Posted 18 Sep 2014 on HotelsWe were initially drawn to Hotel Shardana as the map on the hotels.com website showed it to be very handy for the bus. Be aware though that this map is wrong, and the location is actually 3km out from Santa Teresa, so is a drive or, for us, a taxi ride out of town. The hotel though is situated very nicely, with lovely bungalow accommodation overlooking the sea. The food there was very good too, so there's no need to leave the hotel. The main advantage for us though was the hotel is just a short walk away from the stunning Capo Testa, which is the highlight of the area, in my opinion.
