Really great experience!
Posted 19 Jul 2015We stayed 3 nights and the hostal really provides a great experience. The room have plenty of space, also the architecture is like you are in the meddle of the jungle. The topless bathroom is amazing, you can admire the mountains while you are taking a shower.
Great breakfast, and staff. Just 1km away from the Tayrona Park.
Totally recomendable.

Location: There are a couple beaches nearby, but you should check if you can actually swim there. Casa Grande had a nice beach, but the waves were too strong.
This hotel has a great setting on the side of a hill. The breakfast is good. Each cabin has its own patio with a table, chairs and a hammock. There is also a pool, but it was being cleaned and repaired at the time. The dinners are great. There is no wifi this far out of Santa Marta, so plan ahead and then enjoy being unplugged for a few days. Or if you need to, Santa Marta is only 20 minutes by bus.

Really cute and casual place with a jungle feel to it. The breakfast was tasty and included eggs, fruit and juice - all very fresh! Officially breakfast starts at 7 am but usually the kitchen personnel was not ready until 7.20.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner can drive you to the park entrance in the morning.
Very nice river close by to go swimming.
Many couples and groups in the hostel so it's not the easiest place to meet people as a solo traveler.
I booked this hostel as it was one of the few in the area that had wifi. I work online so it's imperative for me to have reliable wifi. When I got there the staff told me there had been a storm a few days prior so the wifi didn't work. They couldn't get the issue fixed until the third day and even then the wifi only worked on my phone, not my computer.
There are no mosquito nets on bed or windows, so make sure to bring a mosquito net or effective bug spray. I had about 60 mosquito bites on my body when I left. But this place is basically in the jungle so it's bound to happen.
Unfortunately the lack of wifi and the amount of mosquitoes made me cut my time at Yuluka short. Otherwise it was all good!
