Great hostel, owner is super nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Place is just a 10 minute walk to the main area of Gaia and Porto, so its quiet, but also convenient. I got a private room in this hostel, but I'm sure a dorm room would've been fine. Free breakfast every morning and owner offers recommendations or engaging conversations about Portugal and Porto. They did my laundry for 10 euros too, which was great.

Great affordable friendly place to stay.
Posted 31 May 2023 on HotelsThis hostel is convenient to the Gaia port, restaurants and cruise ship terminal. Easy walk to Porto. There is a steep hill from the port and 34 steps up to our suite on the first floor. We learned from our first night to close the double glazed window to eliminate the rumble of tyres on the cobblestone road. Our hosts and their staff were very friendly and accomodating to all our enquires including a reasonable priced shuttle to the airport. Be warned there are two identical addresses in Gaia 30 kms apart so make sure your driver takes you to the one near the port.

The private room was nice. Had lots of space. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Within walking distance to the river for things like dinner. A bit further to the centre of Porto but easily doable by public transport.
