Hotel within easy walking distance of the historic parts of the city. Reception staff are excellent as well.

Hotel Mercure Firenze Centro is a convenient to the Florence Train statio but, as a result, suffers from being on a noisy street which can certainly be crowded and a little dirty. Once inside, however, everything is nice and clean and the staff were friendly and willing to help with whatever you need.

Room has lights out upon arrival. Bed was not setup. Had to shower in dark bathroom next morning as fuse went out. Breakfast was just about okay.

Location can't be beat, right next to the train station. A little loud but not a big deal. Room was very warm the whole time and too many mosquitoes buzzing around to open the balcony door to get cool air in

This is a lovely hotel that offers what you need in terms of basics but I feel it is not up to standard. The room lighting is very dim and it doesn’t create the best ambiance. The internet was not working at all. They tried to offer me points to compensate but that was not really sufficient. Worst of all, no heating provided because it is not “the season”. We were warm enough but after walking in rain, you want heat to dry your clothes and warm up. I felt we had to make do in the end but I expected more. It wasn’t a great accommodation.

Hotel itself was good, however the area was very questionable. Directly outside of the hotel we witness homeless people fighting, encampments, uncleanliness, and did not feel safe each time we entered/left.
