I lost my wedding ring in the room. We looked everywhere. So all we could presume is that it fell off my finger into the toilet. We requested a call from the owner, offered a $2500 reward and to pay for a plumber. The staff also messaged her multiple times. She never had the courtesy to call us back. DONT STAY HERE. Also, while they are planning to add more rooms, they should at least take care of what they have. Broken tiles, bathroom needed updating, inaccessible outlets, and more!

This property is definitely showing its age! The people are very nice, but some money has to be put into this inn because it is not the place it was 10 years ago. Our 1st room was very loud, with lots of little broken things including a TV that wouldn’t change the volume. They moved us to another room the last night and the heater/cooler on the wall didn’t work at all. The front desk person said, ‘yes, that’s why there is a litttle space heater in the corner.’ There was a fireplace with instructions for building a fire but they didn’t have any wood (and we questioned how long it had been since they ever did). The location is still wonderful, and the staff quite nice, but the property needs a renovation!

Found in a great location downtown making walking to restaurants and shopping easy. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean, although the bathroom could use more space. The one downside was that we were on ground floor and the guests above seemed to have been walking around and moving things around pretty much all night. ☹️. Needless to say, this did prevent us from getting a good night’s sleep.

The hotel is a great historical site. It's very Santa Fe inspired-beautiful decor, fireplaces in each room, etc. We have already recommended this hotel to friends and family. The free breakfast is great and everything was very easy.

Let me begin by saying I am an Expedia platinum member and this is the first review I have given. We had an ill family member and did not want to risk the trip. We were initially offered a rebook by the property, but the offer was retracted by the manager. Expedia tried to advocate for us, but the property manager staunchly denied them as well. Since we would lose our money, we made the trip. We paid for 4 nights but arrived a night late due to illness. Upon arrival, the property was ok, but the amenities were lacking, and certainly did not justify the $30 resort fee. While the staff was very friendly, there was no one to help after 8pm. Around 10pm, we ran out of toilet paper, and had to wait until morning. If you needed anything like ice, towels, blankets, you had to wait until morning. The first night, my special needs daughter was cold because they forgot to put a quilt on her bed (temps were in the low 30s) and she did not communicate this to us until the next morning. The heater was loud and sounded like an airplane taking off. The volume on the TV was broken. Lastly, the morning breakfast was OK, not great, but not terrible.

Theresa, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We truly value all guest input, as it helps us improve our services. We received a call from you the day before check-in regarding an illness in your family, and we fully understood your situation. As we explained at the time, due to our cancellation policy, we were unable to process a refund. However, I offered a gift certificate as an alternative and honored your stay, with the condition that the certificate would need to be used before the end of 2024. We were pleased that you still chose to visit despite the challenges.Regarding the issues you experienced during your stay, I want to apologize for any inconvenience caused. When you mentioned running out of toilet paper, my assistant, who was still at the property, promptly delivered more. We also understand your concerns about the mini-split unit and the temperature. Our team aims to address maintenance issues as quickly as possible, and I regret that these inconveniences affected your stay.At the time of check-in, we do inform our guests that the lobby is open until 8 pm, and we make every effort to ensure that essential services are available. Additionally, our Historical fee covers breakfast, parking, and Wi-Fi, which we hope contributed to your overall experience.I’m sorry to hear that your stay was not everything you expected. We will continue to work on improving our services and amenities to ensure a more comfortable stay for future guests.Thank you again for your feedback.

Excellent location, and a lovely large room. Only complaint was that they have fireplaces with large logs and matches... but no smaller pieces or firestarter to actually light the fire. Breakfast was very good.

Breakfast very good. Staff locked us out of our room because Expedia did not invoice us $27 in taxes! Hostile attitude.

Thank you for your feedback, Eric. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed our breakfast. However, we sincerely apologize for the frustration you experienced regarding the resort fee and taxes. As part of our standard policy, taxes and resort fees are required to be paid directly to the property, and unfortunately, Expedia’s invoicing system does not always reflect this. We strive to ensure our guests are aware of all charges upon check-in, and in this case, the necessary fees were not processed on the booking platform, which led to the misunderstanding. We understand that this situation was frustrating, and we apologize if the way it was handled added to your stress. Our goal is always to provide a welcoming experience for all guests, and we regret that this was not the case for you.We appreciate your feedback and will continue working to improve communication regarding fees with our booking partners.
