Great for minimalists
Posted 30 Apr 2024 on HotelsPros: Great location, clean hotel and room, good parking, friendly staff, secure, great for a place to just sleep and great price (about 40/night for 3 beds). Staff is accomodating and provided a fan due to broken ceiling fan. Great wifi, good cell signal, nice common area to relax and have a few drinks, steps to the beach, quiet area.
Cons: broken ceiling fan, no place to hang towel/clothes in shower room, bathroom is very small and knees are very close to door while sitting on toilet, bed was not the most comfortable, sink water easily splashes outside of sink, no one available to officially check out before 8am.

We are sorry for the broken ceiling fan we fixed it.. about to hang the towels you have some behind the door and also in the wall where the sink are … they are not conventional we think that’s why you thought they were not … to check out before 8am we have the night shift but he is cleaning the outside part so maybe this is why you did not see him …thanks for your reservation with us !

Don’t bother
Posted 3 Jan 2024 on HotelsIt was dirty, no hot water, sintetic sheets and smelly. We had a water leak in the bathroom for the entire stay. Also the area looks like a favela, next to some sewers and stinky water.
When we left we almost lost the plane cause of the guy at the reception that forgot to call us a taxi after we asked him 3 times.

In our description it’s written that we don’t have hot water … about the water leak as soon as you told us we called the plumber … the area is not a Favela and I think you never been to one! It’s surrounded by nature and you are in the middle of the town… it’s not your style it’s one thing, you did not like the area maybe too Mexican for you it’s one thing too and it’s understandable but don’t despise ! And for your taxi «the guy» did not forgot to call we are not running the taxi we did call but they came when they want and can for next time plan it the day before and reserve it!

This place stinks, literally
Posted 24 Jan 2023 on HotelsThe water from the tap smelled like rotten eggs, so we didn't want to wash or shower with it. It is a hostal, so there was a tiny kitchen for people to use which usually looked pretty disgusting with clogged sink. The day we left at 5:30 am, went down to reception to call for taxi, several people were sleeping there. The pillowcases had fuzzy lint all over them that would stick to your hair and clothes.

Hello and thank you so much for the comments, we really sorry about the smell on the water we have a issue with the water pipe that we need to wash the water tanks and throw all the water away. And about the kitchen is responsability from the customer to keep it clean, and the people love to stay with us, so even when we don’t have space in the dorms they prefer to stay in the coach’s! Is people that love the vibe from the place! Cheers!

Very relaxed location just a short walk from the beach. Our room was adequate for our needs, simple and safe place to call home base for our explorations. Shops, food, bank, massages and more just a short walk away. I forgot her name but the lady at the registration desk was FANTASTIC and so helpful with lots of helpful tips. Would stay here again if we ever find ourselves in Puerto Escondido.
