We stayed for five nights. The first night we had dinner there. I asked the amount so I could pay,but they just told me “ later and just later”. I completely forgot about it after five days. When our last day of our stay there we still talk with the owner but she never mention that we still have balance to pay. The cook meet us and give us a paper to sign and she didn’t say anything. We checked out around 9 am.. We headed to Manila and we receive msg from the cook around 12.30 that if we didn’t pay the amount of our dinner it will be deducted to her salary. I did send the money right away. But what a horrible way to treat the hired help!! she has been working there for 23 years.

Good Morning Joseph!I just read your review and immediately showed it to our cook. I am very disappointed in how she handled the billing. The bill was attached to the "health declaration" sheet that we had you filled up which is required by our Department of Tourism. I left the farm at 11:00 am to do my errands I purposely delayed my departure thinking you would come by and say goodbye, settle the bill and turn in the key. The excuse that my cook in saying I would deduct the collectible from her pay is that you were not replying to her messages. She thought she would get your attention this way and did not think how it would reflect back on us.I assure you I treat her and everyone else in the farm fairly or she would not have stayed that long with us.My apologies for the way she handled the situation and hopefully she would refer difficult problems to us instead of taking her own actions.Do enjoy the rest of your vacation time in the Philippines and hope to see you again on your next trip.Mabuhay!Amor
