All was as expected. These Marriott properties continue to have weird shower set ups, with a single sliding glass door situated right underneath the shower head. Doesn't make sense to me, but someone designed this without ever taking a shower, I guess. Not a major quibble!

The service, staff, and even the concierge customer service upon check-out was actually pretty impressive and I've stayed in 5-Star hotels world-wide

A perfectly normal Courtyard By Marriott except that it's a little bit off the main commercial area so $15 a night for parking seemed excessive. Breakfast at 6:00 is a little late for early flights out (this being one of the closest hotels to SLO's airport).

Good place to stay … I don’t understand why we have to pay for parking overnight at $15/night. It’s not like it is hard to find parking in this area, and no one else (other than hotel guests) will park in this area. So, the parking fee is just another way to make guests pay more for the room.

Very clean property with a restaurant and bar. The room was very nice as well and had a comfortable bed. I did not like that we had to pay for parking.

I hated the fact that i called a week in advance to ask about having an early check in and was told the earliest they can schedule me for was 1:00 pm which i was happy with because this gave me time to drive there and get ready for a wedding i had to be at. I show up and the rude front desk lady told me that they dont do early check ins and there are no rooms available before i could finish speaking. I went back in to dispute this but i attempted to speak with someone else yet she insisted on helping me again, with a slight attitude adjustment but still rude. She proceeded to tell me that early check in were only a request and not scheduled even after i told her this is what i was told on the phone a week prior and that all check outs are at 11:00 am which gave them 2 hours to get a room ready for me. She attempted to tell me how they had a huge party (idaho college football team) as if that was my fault or like it was something that should affect my scheduled stay. I ended up getting a room an hour later than expected and was late to the wedding. I do not recommend this place because of the horrible and rude service. Next time dont tell customers that they can check in early. I will not be staying here again and will not recommend.
