My husband and I love staying at The Candlewood Suites. The staff is very helpful and very polite. They are always eager to answer any questions or assist you in anyway. The rooms are spacious and very clean. They even have a wonderful dog walking area and barbeques you can use upon request. I strongly recommend staying at The Candlewood Suites Santa Maria, CA

Very quiet even though it's very close to 101. Parking was never an issue. The rooms are very spacious and cozy. My only complaint was the water pressure in the shower was a little rough. Will definitely be back!

Mainly modern long-stay hotel. Staff were courteous and professional. The suite I was in was a good size with a kitchenette to meet long-term living needs. A bit off the beaten path, but that could be good. Gym needs a serious re-do, mainly the cardio equipment.

I stayed here one night. The room was nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The cabinets were well stocked with dishes. They had an area by the front desk where you could borrow kitchen appliances like a a slow cooker. The staff were nice during check in. I would stay here for a longer stay in the future.

Would stay here again if needed. Pet friendly was the key feature for us. No issues, though I haven’t seen the final bill yet. Description of property indicates there is a bar/lounge, but I didn’t see one? Not sure where that could be. We were happy to have a kitchenette with decent sized fridge and freezer. Staff seemed pleasant and competent.

They should advertise as “like living in an apartment” because housecleaning only cleans ONCE every 7 days. Liked the fact that it had a full size fridge and dishwasher but other than that it was a bit unremarkable for the price compared to other properties in the area.

Stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. Comfy bed. Clean kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Sofa needed some work. Housekeeping is only on check out. I don't use it usually but don't expect it during a stay. Place is looking dated not the bright airy from the pictures. Free laundry area. You buy the soap. Very quiet rooms. Good mini convenient store. Great location between coast and wine country. Local strip of fast food near by. Will have to drive more for any good sit down restaurants but right off the highway so easy location. Good value for CA.
