Staff is very cordial. I’m a female traveling alone and the location of my room was very dark, no outside lighting. I entered the room, sensor did not go on. I couldn’t find my way around the room. Advised front desk. Instructed to look for the light on the wall. I used the flashlight from my phone to navigate. Shower head wouldn’t stay up I had to hold it to shower. Next day I had to run errands came back, and there was a man in the room, (maintenance man) replacing the phone jack. I was never advised he would be in my room. I felt concerned asked him to come back the next day. I apologize to him, and advised, I didn’t feel comfortable being alone in the room with him. Again had to run some errands came back my card to get in was not working went to service desk. They asked how my stay was. I stated not very well since there was maintenance issues. They asked if I wanted the maintenance man to come and fix them I advised I’m not comfortable being in a room with a strange man. They could have sent a female with him. So overall, I would not stay there again, and the price does not match the room. I’ve paid less at choice hotels where maintenance was not required. They had so many empty rooms. I feel they could have easily given me a different room without all the maintenance issues. But obviously guest value is not their priority. This was supposed to be a room for a disabled person that I requested. Not at all ADA compliant.
