The best hotel I’ve ever stayed! The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us when our rental car battery died. We truly appreciate all the help! Thank you so much!

The hotel is really, right in the middle of the historic center. It is a bit of trouble to get to the front of the hotel but, if you follow the instructions that the hotel very kindly provides, then you will be ok.

Highly recommend this hotel. Great room views, good breakfast included and location unbeatable. Staff is really friendly and attentive.

This was a lovely hotel located right on the square! It had beautiful views and was located very conveniently to all the historical sites and delicious restaurants. The drive to the hotel to drop off our luggage was very difficult but we made it and the parking was convenient. We loved it here!

This is a beautiful building in a fantastic location. The window at the end of the third floor corridor has one of the best views in the town. You can’t get a better spot than this. I will be back

Old hotel in an old mountain top town. Given the limitations of this environment the Cisterna is a great little hotel that met all of our needs .The Cisterna is located in Cisterna Square in town close to sights, dining and a valley view walkway. The views to the valley from the rooms is amazing. The rooms are a good size and are modernized and comfortable. The staff is great (friendly and helpful). Many choices for dining close by (in the square) but others will require some minor hills and steps to get to. The morning breakfast is adequate (continental) with cappuccino/expresso included). The hotel is within the city walls so you have to park in a lot outside the walls and walk in (hills) or the hotel can shuttle you to and from parking lot for a fee. San Gimignano is very busy during the day with tour buses etc. highly suggest an overnight stay to get the full experience and Cisterna is the perfect choice of hotel to soak in the history/ambiance of San Gimignano. Highly recommend.
