Spa, restaurant and common areas are gorgeous. Rooms are cozy but outdated.

Nature at its best
Posted 28 Jul 2024 on HotelsMy stay was great but sadly one day rainy almost all the time. But we enjoyed watching quetzals very early and walking in the woods even though was raining.

We had the most incredible three-day stay at the Savegre thanks to the gorgeous surroundings and incredibly kind and attentive staff! The rooms are not large, but they are thoughtfully designed with a sitting area, beautiful large bathroom with tub, and a little porch bench out front facing the lovely garden. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, offering typical dishes as well as American and European choices. We hiked all of the well-kept trails, and saw birds of all kinds. But the icing on the already delicious cake was seeing many Quetzals on the property each morning at breakfast. We could not have asked for a better stay in this magical place!

Posted 5 Jul 2024 on HotelsNice & comfortable rooms. The beautiful property has a protected reserve with many trails. Lots of bird watching opportunities. We saw the resplendent quetzals several time from the property and couple of times while dining in their restaurant. They arrange good guides for bird watching/ treks etc. decent food options & they also have a spa on property.
