We stayed here because we attended a NYE event at The Mint across the street. The location was perfect. We enjoyed a great dinner at Soma Restaurant, good food and quick service. In the morning we walked to two great restaurants for breakfast (MO’z Cafe and Zevi) and felt completely safe. The hotel is old and the room was small but had everything we needed including an in room mini fridge. We had a problem with the toilet flushing but my husband was able to fix it lol.

The fire alarm went off on our floor at 4am no one called no one said anything for the inconvenience. All of us who were staying on this floor assumed it was an Emergency went down and then the front desk (gentleman) told us it went off but everything was fine. Check out was also at 12pm and one of cleaning ladies came in when I was changing at 9am. She knocked our door once and then opened the door. I definitely didn’t appreciate that either.

Miriam: W eare sorry to hear about the issue with the fire alarm, and we take the safety of our guests very seriously. We will always thoroughly investigate any alarm when it activates. In regards to the Housekeeping issue: All hotels begin knocking on doors first thing in the morning and not at check out time. The industry in general recommends leaving a Do Not Disturb sign on your door if you do not want to be interrupted before departure.
