The area was right in the gaslamp district so it is loud at night with the party scene. The room was beautiful. My only complaint was the shower was dirty and moldy.

This was the easiest place to check in and out of. No lines or people. Just an email and text. Perfect location in the heart of The Gaslamp Quarter. Would definitely stay again.

There is a random hidden fee the day before checking in. The elevator is practically broken. The main gate code is the same as the room code, which is unsafe.

Nice convenient location. Nice to have this place as an apartment. Surprisingly, noise was not a problem.

The most important thing you need to know is that it is directly above a VERY busy bars and surrounded by a lot of other bars and club. They do provide earplugs and a noise machine which we turned on to the loudest setting. Luckily i was tired and fell asleep right away anyways. But do not stay here if you are a light sleeper.
The hallway downstairs & elevator smell pretty bad but once you’re in the room, everything is clean, no smell at all. The bed was comfortable and it is roomy and the kitchen came in handy.
They did leave us a cupcake at the door i think maybe to apologize for the noise we would hear being in a room facing the street.
Super convenient location and it was an easy walk to Petco & food

Hi Vanessa, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand that while our convenient location offers easy access to popular bars, restaurants, and attractions, it does come with the challenge of outside noise, which can be difficult for light sleepers. Unfortunately, the lively environment around us is beyond our control, and we aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible by providing amenities like earplugs and noise machines. We're glad to hear you found the room clean, comfortable, and spacious, and that the kitchen and convenient location were beneficial to your stay. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for an even better, relaxing experience. Sincerely, Team Kasa

Our room was a spacious well equipped one bedroom unit with skylights and a kitchenette in a small hotel in an old building right in the center of the Gaslamp District. Although renovated and the room was in decent condition, the building showed some wear and tear. My wife and I stayed for four nights. During our first night, after 1:30 AM, there was on and off loud construction noise and loud conversation in Spanish on our corridor and below our window outside until 6 AM. After complaining, this did not happen again. During our last two days we had no hot water. This could not be remedied. I guess we had bad luck and the hotel would deserve a better review but, based on our experience, I cannot go beyond two stars.

Hi Tibor, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the spacious layout of your room and its central location in the Gaslamp District, though we regret that certain aspects of your stay fell short of expectations. We understand how disruptive it must have been to encounter noise late at night and to go without hot water during your last days, which is certainly not the experience we strive to provide. Your feedback about the wear and tear in the building and the issues you faced is valuable, as it helps us identify areas for improvement. We’re committed to creating a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all our guests and will take this to heart as we work on refining our services. Thank you again for helping us grow with your honest insights. Sincerely, Team Kasa

This hotel is RIGHT in the heart of the GasLamp district and so has all the advantages and disadvantages that this entails. It is not going to be quiet until quite late at night, but then if you stay here why are you not out partying and being part of the noise? The room suite is nice and spacious with room to sit and lounge about. The communication from the remote management was fast and accurate and I did not mind not having someone there to ask.

Great location and close to convention centre and local transportation networks. Was easy to get around and explore the city. Neat location and enjoyed the historic aspect of the building. Room was quiet (I specifically asked for a room on the top floor and they were able to accomodate) and clean and I felt safe. Only complaints is the bed was really hard and windows were so dirty you couldn't really see out of them (but I wasn't there for the view so not a big deal). Showers lack any water pressure but it did the job. Overall it was a cute room and I would stay again.
