Not for solo non driver or incapacitated. Unique
Posted 28 Feb 2020 on HotelsI’ve found that when the Spanish say rural, they mean RURAL! The location was superb. The hotel is perched on a cliff with wonderful view of the sea, rocks and coves. If you are into fishing it is a dream. If you want peace and quiet, a nice location for meditation or to feed the soul, this is it. A well preserved older home, I would believe. I booked B&B but did have dinner which was a real home cooked meal. My balcony was small but some rooms have bigger, so if it’s important do check that out.The approach to the hotel is somewhat off putting but don’t let it put you off. The staff were all very pleasant and reception very helpful.
On the downside, the reception is your first port of call. After that, the hotel is down a very steep hill. Ok going down but even steeper going up! There is no lift. It is remote and you do need a car. WiFi was good in my room but non existent outside of it. Breakfast was more than adequate. No hot choices.
It is very early in the year and the pool freezing cold. Lovely area to sit out front and read. I can’t comment on any other aspects as was only there for one night.
I definitely would stay again, if I had a car and not only if I needed it to get to reception.

Boring? (that's a good thing)
Posted 21 Dec 2018 on HotelsThis might be my second favorite hotel in the world. It's definitely a matter of personal taste, as it clearly won't suit everyone. The wifi is adequate, the food is adequate, the hot water is adequate, the rooms have neither heat nor a/c, the location is a little bit remote, the beach is too dangerous for swimming, but it is possibly the most romantic setting I can imagine. You can go to sleep to the sound of the surf (astoundingly, some people consider this a negative). With only 12 rooms, you won't be crowded. The table service in the restaurant is unmatched. The best thing to do at this hotel is sit and read a book and listen to the waves. If you like reading books, this is the BEST place to do it. If you like nightclubbing, it's the worst for that.

Die Umgebung war traumhaft direkt am Meer abgeschieden!
das Hotel selbst renovierungsbedürftig.
Das Service personal inkompetent, das Essen von der Karte gab es teilweise nicht , und viel zu teuer, das Frühstücksbüffet dürftig (die ersten Tage gab es nicht mal Obst, der Kaffee war extrem dünn usw.)
der Swimmingpool nicht immer sauber, die billigen Stühle und Tische unbequem. Teilweise zerbrochen.

Quand on aime le calme .... on est au bout du monde , entouré de bananeraie ....
seuls qq pecheurs au bord de l'océan ...
un grand plaisir pour se poser et se ressourcer .
