The water pressure in shower was very bad. The shower door was very hard to open. I had to ask the staff twice for blankets and face towels. They never brought the face towels. While i was finishing up my poll game the staff turned out the lights.and I couldn't see, i fell with a beer bottle in my hand and cut it in two places. Staff sis not assist and Office s did not have first aid kit. Hotel is also built on cemetery lot where dead people are buried who couldn't afford a proper burial.

Thanks La Vista Highlands Mountain Resort
Posted 7 Sep 2017We had a very enjoyable weekend stay. All the resort staff were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The restaurant served great food. The flying fox and cable car rides are both a must to do when you’re here. The room was not airconditioned but it is not needed as the temperature in the region is cooler which was a pleasurable surprise, in fact the room had a fan which we had to turn off at night as it was too cold for my partner. We couldn’t find any faults the room and ensuite were clean and tidy and it was very peaceful and it was nice to relax from the heat and bustle of the cities.

Customer Service was not good and Room was not Cle

Location: Location is good and a nice waterfall nearby.
The room had no AC. Really not a problem at night when the temperature is cool but it needs AC in the daytime to be comfortable. With no AC, this meant having the windows open which was a problem. First there was a lot of noise from staff who constantly passed by our room (African 01) and would look into our room windows when they walked by and talked loud. The guests next door sat outside and talked and laughed loud which was annoying because you could not shut the windows and drown out the noise with the AC. The windows were a jealousy window type and were very dirty and the window screens were filthy and had not been cleaned in months so opening them for fresh air meant you would get a nose full of dust and filth plus the noise. There was no phone in the room and after I complained by using my cell to call the desk they brought me a walkie talkie that constantly went off with staff communicating. Ridiculous they have no phone system. The shower had no hot water, only slightly warm water at best. They only put one sheet on your bed and you have to request a blanket if you want one.
Upon arrival they could not verify our reservation because they said they had a problem with their computer. Why they did not call the verify I do not know. They wanted me to email them my confirmation from expedia because they could not do it themselves. They said our room was being readied and to sit next to the pool and enjoy a welcome drink that would be given to us. After 30 min

Overall this is a nice motel, but there is almost nothing around it for entertainment. The room had ants in it daily, even when there was nothing in there to attract them. internet was not available in the room at all. only had decent service if sitting near the check in area.

Lovely resort with a few missing pieces
Posted 20 Jul 2016 on HotelsDepending on a few factors, I can see many people loving this resort while it would not be great for others. Some potential issues with the hotel for many would be as follows:
- There was no internet service.
- At least in our room, there was no hot water. Meaning cold showers. I wanted to call the front desk about this issue, but alas, the rooms have no phones, and it is a very long climb from my room to the reception area.
- There is no air conditioning. At just over 2000 feet in altitude, it is considerably cooler than low-lying areas in the Philippines. However, it is still the tropics, and the room was hot during the daytime.
- The great majority of TV channels were non-english. There were a few english channels, but no premium HBO, Cinemax, movie channels.
- My room was approximately 120 steps down the mountain from the main pool/reception/restaurant area. It is a difficult walk for anyone not in shape.
The smiling staff, great location and excellent architecture of the hotel make up for many other deficiencies I mentioned above. It is a very nice resort. Don't forget to bring mosquito repellent if you go there!
