The apartments were basic but clean. The kitchen facilities consisted of a microwave, fridge and 2 ring hob. There was no kettle or teapot for anyone wanting a cup of tea, so back to the old-fashioned method of boiling water in a pan! No washing up liquid or dishcloths provided, but there's a well stocked small shop over the road.The bathroom was clean, good hot shower. Maid service 5 out of seven days. Entertainment every evening, though we never went as not to our taste. Main criticism, although these are non-smoking rooms, smoking is allowed on the balconies and you can't escape the smell of smoke drifting over the dividing walls and into your room. It was really unpleasant.

Nice quiet hotel but spa at a surcharge!!!!!
So i booked this hotel as it is advertised as a spa hotel, this is the only reason i chose this partcular hotel, we arrived at the marina sol hotel and the receptionist gave us the room no etc then proceeded to tell us that the spa costs €27 for 2 people for 2 hours!!!! I was furious as it is advertised as being included or that is how expedia made it sound. In the description of the hotel it states that parking and wifi are at a surcharge but not the spa! I emailed expedia and asked them to rectify this misleading information and they agreed to do so but doesnt look like they have! It is a very quiet and very clean hotel. The apartment we stayed in was self catering but you could not really cook... theres no oven and a great lack of utensils. I couldnt even find a pair of scissors. Despite all these things we enjoyed our stay. But do not be misled..... the spa isnt included!!!! It also says theres an indoor pool...there isnt. Its the spa pool which you cant swim in. So dont make the same mistake i did. However if all you want is peace and quiet then this hotel is very quiet and clean and staff are quite friendly.

A very good apartment block with excellent staff. The apartment was modern and had very comfortable beds and good quality furniture..if you like walking there are ample opportunities towards Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas. The nearby San Agustín has a variety of shops and good restaurants. For travel further afield I would recommend using the bus service which is only 200m from the complex

Really good hotel for the price, we only booked this to sleep after late arrival so only slept then had breakfast before going onto the Lopesan villa de Conde. It looked the best hotel for the area and the breakfast was good. The wifi did cost €6 a day though.

Nice hotel in a quiet location
Supermarket is 30 second walk and had everything you need. However do not buy local brand of food. Although the hotel is located in a nice quiet location close to beaches; it is rather isolated and getting to the hotel requires a long walk up a steep hill with heavy suitcases. The room itself is very good, however if self catered, more cooking equipment should be facilitated. Overall a very good experience.

Good that hotel not right in San Augustin or Maspalomas but 15 minutes walk along excellent footpath. More quiet and less tourist. Hotel underground parking space limit and cost 10EUR per day. However able to find parking near hotel or 10 minutes walk away. Have to pay for the use of the safe deposit box. Have to pay for Wifi even in the lobby. Did not get a room with proper seaviews despite selected for it during the booking. Can be noisy with spanish neighbours having dinner at 10.00pm. Also with room directly above the restaurant. Room is clean, spacious with separate lounge which has a kitchennette. Limited utensils and lack of small dinning table. If nights are warm, sit out on balcony for dinner with proper table and chairs

The hotel is spotlessly clean and Brilliant Reception Staff. On top of a very STEEP Hill , so no good for the infirm! An excellent supermarket opposite. Not near any Facilities or Bars etc. If you are fit and want peace and quite this Hotel is for you.

Great place to stay!
Stayed for 4 nights at the MarinaSol and had a great time. Had booked a room with no balcony, but on arrival we were upgraded to 1 bedroom apartment with large balcony and sea view. The apartment was very clean and looked like it had been upgraded fairly recently. The pool area was small but well situated. 5 minute walk to a nice and quiet sandy beach. Amazing restaurant - Bamira - right across the street (Michelin recommended) and a great grocery store too. 20 minute walk to San Agustin or Felitz Bahia for more shops and restaurants. If you're looking for a quiet holiday and enjoy being away from crowded beaches then I'd highly recommend the MarinaSol.

Lovely hotel, a 5 minute walk to a beach
The hotel was lovely, and the staff were welcoming. Not a huge hotel which meant we weren't over crowded. There was no wifi but we paid €12 for 3 days on 2 devices, very cheap. There is a restaurant right under the hotel which serves amazing food, we went there every night. Two single beds pushed together, very comfortable, they didn't separate. The bedroom also had a huge wardrobe including hangers. Huge open plan and a lovely spacious bathroom. Couldn't have asked for more. The view from the balcony was also lovely. There was a pebble beach about a 5 min walk down the hill. Or in the opposite direction there was a sandy beach very popular about a 15min walk.

A quiet holiday away from the crowds
If you want to be away from the busy resort of Playa del Ingles then this is the place for you. The hotel is on a slight incline. The bus stop to Las Palmas in one direction and Playa del Ingles, Puerto Rico in the opposite direction is nearby if you wish to take any excursions. The swimming pool area is small but there are plenty of available sunbeds. Breakfast is adequate with a choice of cooked eggs, toast and cold meats. Additional payment is required for both the room safe and wii fi. There is a shop nearby which is well stocked.

A bit out of the way
I was unhappy I did not get a seaview. However I accepted that I had a room for disabled access. I asked to pay to move but they said my daughter was allocated a 3rd floor and I would share a seaview with her. This was not the case and they went as far as to say I couldn't have been told that. I really dislike being lied to. The hotel was clean and quite nice. Two of the reception staff were nice but one wasn't. There was a shop over the road, but really it is a cab or bus ride to get anywhere. One really good thing was the wifi speed. I paid 20 euros for the week. The view was very important to me as this may well be my last holiday for some time owing to serious health issues. Despite explaining this the hotel made no effort to help. Disappointing.

Beautiful quiet hotel
Girlfriend and I spent a week here and loved it, good food, really good and helpful staff, not too far from beaches. Nice pool and lounge area, really great value for money. If you go here you must try the spa!

Pleasant hotel with panoramic views.
We've had a very pleasant 11 night stay in the MarinaSol. Staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Some can speak English more than others but this didn't pose too much of a problem and we didn't speak Spanish so who am I to complain about that!? ;) They were lovely. I would recommend this hotel to friends and I would certainly go back again. I wouldn't recommend this area for families. Couples and anyone wanting a quiet time and rest away from the hustle and bustle of life back home. The locals are lovely and friendly. The sand is black! Lovely restaurants with different cuisines and nationalities. WiFi was cheap and easy to login to.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful from the start. All.you need to know they will help you with and that includes phoning taxis for you and booking trips. The room with a terrace was very spacious for the two of us. No complaints about the size or amenities, however the quality of the towels was poor ( different sizes and even holes). The room was clean but there's always room for improvement. The breakfast was good. No complaints although anything more than 5 days you could get a little bored....but it's always fresh and eggs made to order. The location is great if you don't want to be in the mix of the busy strip. we personally loved the fact we could jump in a taxi for only 8 Euros to the hussle and bright lights. The location was beautiful...The stairs to the beach and the views were stunning. I would stay there again.
