"Mercure Salzburg City is a great hotel and I would stay again. The staff are super friendly, the hotel is well located (only 12 - 15 mins leisurely walk from the Makartsteg Bridge that crosses the Salzach), the rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds comfortable. The only disappointment was that the complementary bottles of water (2) in the fridge are not replaced each morning. So regardless of a single or multiple night stay, you get the two bottles. "Great location. Very clean. I super love it. The only issue we had was checking in after hours. We had letters at the lobby stating that we had emails regarding a pin to access our room keys but we never received any so we have to walk to the sister hotel to get our room keys. We had our luggages at that time and it was raining and a little late in the evening already. So hopefully next time the hotel will make sure we get their emails especially when people are checking in after office hours....

"This was a wonderful place to stay on our first visit ever to Salzburg. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The little artificial artful stream running down in front of the entrance was fun. It's in a limited traffic area, so the taxi guy had a remote that lowered the barrier so he could drive us right to the door. There are some great restaurants at very reasonable prices in easy walking distance, and shops too, though very touristy shops and expensive, but we didn't come to buy...
