There was a long black hair on the toilet seat. The toilet ran all the time we were there. The black out curtains were ripped and torn. The door latch was loose. The shower curtain rod was falling down, and the curtain only covered the middle of the tub. The food was bland.

I really appreciate that this is a true hotel -- with doors to the rooms *inside* the building. As a single woman traveling alone, that's one of the first things I look for. To enter the building one must pass by the front desk, so that makes it much safer than a motel. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays with a nice fire in the fireplace -- very welcoming! The staff I interacted with were cordial & helpful. I only made it to breakfast once & found it to be adequate -- nothing particularly outstanding, but with eggs, sausage, bake-your-own-waffles, cereal, milk, juice, coffee, bagels, packets of oatmeal, etc. The room itself was quiet & comfy with all the usual amenities: fridge, micro, coffee maker, iron & board, blow dryer, desk & chair, & a chair to relax in. I'm short, so the beds were too high for me to comfortably sit on. The room had two queen beds, but strangely, there was only a small nightstand between them. We ended up pushing it toward one bed and using the chair as a second nightstand for the other. I'm not a big fan of the new policy of having the room made up only every few days -- that's one of the luxuries of staying in a hotel -- returning to a tidy room each day. :-( We never remembered to request to have the room made up over the 5 nights we were there, so the trash was overflowing & we ran out of towels. I think next time I will specifically request maid service at check-in. My daughter lives nearby and we will definitely return!!

First room was terrible,for handicap bathroom ,small sink in bathroom,smelly,poor lighting in second room they upgraded ,no fans in either bathroom,when restroom cleaned the sink and vanity was skipped and garbage not taken out ,was supposed to be a full serving ce cleaning.
