This quaint motel was a wonderful place to land after a long day’s drive. The room was nicely renovated and even had a king bed.
The contactless check-in was seamless as well.

This was my fifth stay at the Reno in Salmo. It feels familiar, safe, quiet and cozy. I can walk the entire town from this spot. It makes no claims to being chic or elegant. It's old timey and comfy. Recommended.

The motel is older and was what I expected. My brother and had two rooms. My brother’s room (Room 1) was dated and had wood paneling throughout. My room (Room 2) appeared to be updated. The room had all I needed. The room was clean and had a microwave and fridge and separate bedroom and living area. The bathroom was nice too. The bedroom mattress was excellent! The only downside is that it can be quite loud in the rooms at times as the motel is right on the highway.

The “Mining Room” is a local favourite… This historic 1940-1950 motel has lots of charm, and updates are occurring constantly! Having a roadside vintage motel, sometimes includes some road noise. No office staff available for check in nor during our entire stay. Also, there was a sign on the office door that said there were no vacancies (please note that we had reserved a room via Expedia). Thank goodness, that there was a young man on the premises chopping wood who approached us. He said that he didn’t work for the motel but would contact the manager for us. Chain lock on entry door not a secure or safe type of lock.
