Tired hotel in lovely setting
Posted 31 May 2017
Pros: This is a lovely old building in a beautiful setting. It is a pleasant walk across the town path into the City.
Cons: Some tlc is definitely needed! See comments above.
Location: Good location with limited parking. Easy access on foot into the city & from there to all the places of interest, such as the Cathedral, market Square
We were aware that this lovely building was old, but it is very much in need of some attention. Unfortunately our room was very hot owing to the fact that the window sash was broken so it could not be opened. The bathroom was tiny, with nowhere to hang towels & the water drained so slowly from the shower tray that it became a foot bath & threatened to overflow onto the floor! The mattress on the bed had seen better days - we could feel the springs!

Our Salisbury stopover.
Posted 20 Apr 2017
Pros: An excellent location. Beautiful gardens with waterside views and views of the Cathedral.
Location: Short walk to the Town Centre and Salisbury Cathedral.
The 15th century mill was perfect for us as a stopover as we returned to London. With a 15th century building and the reasonable room rates we understood that the accommodation would not be luxurious. We took the 20 minute walk to the Cathedral before we checked out, the views on the way were stunning. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great Location

Pros: Its location.
Cons: The bed in our room was little too soft for our liking and its a bit difficult to get bags upto the top floor.
Location: Great location with easy walking access into Salisbury centre via a public footpath.
What a charming place to stay, a working paper mill with character. Great outdoor eating area and the restaurant is also very nice. Staff very helpful.
