Recommended hotel! Pros: Fantastic location with beautiful sandy beaches, plenty of activities to do, all very well organized, extremely friendly staff attentive to guests’ needs, and excellent quality food. Cons: Without a premium experience, the included drinks are too few, the rooms need significant maintenance and possibly some modernization, and the Wi-Fi is very slow and doesn’t work in many areas of the hotel (including part of our room and some beaches).

A very good hotel with great staff, food, service and with 3 beaches! Located outside of Salalah in Hawana that has a very relaxing vibe. If you want to relax and eat good food ( and buffe ) with the ocean in front of a hotel, then this is it!

Special mention to the wonderful staff the hotel has, especially staff in their dining kitchen and bell hoopers. The hotel is reasonably well-maintained. A couple of things I would like to bring to the notice of the management is why ain't any dedicated Indian restaurant. Furthermore during the summer months why would they close the pool at 7, nobody is going to enjoy the pool in extreme heat. They would love to enjoy the pool and the view after the sunset as they are on vacation.

Overall, the property was beautiful and the options of multliple beaches were too good. Staff was very friendly. The pool was maintained well. The pool bar was the real highlight and the staff there was really good. We had issues with the room Air conditioning as it was not working well at night. Also, one of the pool was under maintenance. Staying at Al Fanar is one of the best experiences in life. I went there with my wife, & we enjoyed each second of our trip. 1st; the hospitality is beyond expectations. The staff is very kind. I would like to personally Thank Mr. Hussein Al Ma'ashani for his extreme kindness and hospitality. They even offered complimentary coffee & fruit platter. The hotel is safe and quiet, the rooms are very clean, & the parameters are very nice to walk&talk, & enjoy the ocean from the different seating areas and cafes there. I wanted to have a dinner on the beach, so the hotel made it possible in just 2 hours,& made it a very unique & memorable experience thanks to Mr. Umlesh who stayed after working hours to make are that we are happy with arrangements. The dining options are vast,& the breakfast open buffet is great with lots of varieties (One can have the breakfast at Al Fanar,or at Rotana Hotel (5 minutes way from Al Fanar) One very enjoyable service you get to experience when booking with Al Fanar is a limitless free entrance to the adjacent AquaPark,which is a very nice experience with must-try slides, & the memories there are non forgettable. Another great experience we had with Al Fanar is the bike rental to ride around the ocean and areas of Hawana Salalah. Very great experience. What needs improvement in Al Fanar is the quality of bed mattress and pillows, plus the quality of Shampoo & Shower Gel they offer.The ones they have are below expectations.

Poor value for money. The room is clean but the air conditioning is freezing throughout whole property, room was very far from main area/reception and one of the pools was closed. Housekeeping didnt come until 3pm and left the floor very wet and dangerously slippery. Only one restaurant open for dinner with no a la carte option, expensive buffet only. Better options out there for similar price, wouldn't stay again.

Too much mosquitos
Too many mosquitos. Mosquitos bite even through clothes. They have to kill the whole moustique population in the city like in Turkish cities as Antalya. In that case mosquitos will not come back, or population of mosquitos will be low. People are obliged to go inside buildings because of mosquitos. Maybe you come for the good weather in the winter and to go outside here but they do nothing against mosquitos since own people do not live that much outside. Besides, own people cover their full body so there is no need for mosquito protection. You can wear what you want but you are obliged to cover your body to protect against mosquitos.

De kamers zijn oud en hebben een stankgeur. Schimmel in de badkamer. De kast stonk. Het matras was versleten. Kamers moeten echt vernieuwd worden. Overal vieze vochtgeur. Het ontbijt was goed. Maar zulke slechte kamers niet eerder meegemaakt. Zonde van me geld.
